Yesterday and Preston were the best observed silences I’ve been at. Still believe they should be sacked off though

Most of the time they get ruined by chanting followed by a shhhh and then faux outrage which creates more noise than the chanting.

I think a minutes applause is much easier and a better tribute personally.

I've said it before but half the time the noise is coming from people outside or on the concourse who are unaware the minutes silence is going on.

How hard can it be to inform people theres one in progress?
Though how people can be unaware on this particular weekend is strange.

A minutes applause would be better imo AND Why aren’t white poppies available alongside the red?

Surely depends on who it's for. A minutes silence is certainly more appropriate on Remembrance weekend.

Wryly amusing to see people who had observed the silence (about 20 secs in truth followed by a two minute rendition of the last post) in impeccable fashion lose their temper when the ref and a few players took the knee against racism for about 2 seconds before kickoff.

As long as we don't forget those that died because the powerful idiots at the top force teenagers to fight wars.

Sky Blue Sam not understanding that you have to get your somber face on for the silence and not the face you have when you are next in the queue at the kebab shop at 2 in the morning and you’ve had a few pints and are starving.

The minutes applause which seem to happen mostly nowadays are okay but Remembrance Sunday is a bit difference.

It was a well observed silence. A bit short. the Last Post was played to a high standard. The crowd were silent throughout the important bit where I was.
Far more important to observe this than some of the tributes we see nowadays.
