I've defended ahead from the very start and like him.

However gotta say sheaf gives ball away with very simple passes rather than try high risk balls.

It's the thing that may stop him from playing in the top tier. Lack of concentration perhaps rather than lack of ability

Glad he had a good game today though. Have hopes for him in the holding role in lampards team

Collins had 1 cross to deal with, and fucked it big time. He got bailed out by the ref, who obviously thought he must of been fouled as no keeper could possibly be that bad.

The defence looked a lot better with Binks and Dasilva getting dropped. In fact we only looked under pressure when Dasilva replaced Bidwell. (Maybe that's just a coincidence)

The midfield struggled in the first half, but got better when Sheaf stepped up, and I thought Torp was unlucky to get subbed as he was better than Sheaf and Rudoni in the first half.

Sakamoto started very slowly but got better as the game went on. EMC struggled throughout, missed a sitter, but redeemed himself with what turned out to be the winner. But we need more from him.

Simms was starved of service, and it was the right call to change things in the final third. So credit to FL for making the right subs.

Overall, a great 3 points at a difficult ground played in poor conditions.

You clearly don't understand how football fandom works.

You should have said "I couldn't watch this game unfortunately, but I am going to give my ratings anyway."

Two weeks in a row the commentators have called Sheaf top class, running the game etc but the opinion on here differs greatly.

Did he give the ball away sloppily 3 or 4 times? Yes.
Was he the best midfielder on the pitch? Also yes.

It was a clear foul on him. Guy basically pulled him over

That has puzzled me. I can't see anything wrong at all from looking at the highlights.

Will have a look again. It seemed incredibly soft.

Just watched it back another three times.

I can't see anything wrong at all there.

Should have been awarded as a goal.

Is that the same Collins that was on the floor with a player on top of him as the ball went in?

Or I watched it on the radio, MC Clive on the mike and said it was a great goal by Gary Thomson assisted by Roy Deeney

Worth mentioning that the reason for the marked improvement was Lampard. There has obviously has been plenty of work on the training ground which resulted in a much more cohesive unit. Unlike many games this season the players each seemed to understand their role both in and out of possession. Plenty of new things happening which weren't evident previously. Early days but good stuff from Frank. Great to see him connecting with the fans too.
