The moment we had Torp, Rudi, Wright and i cant believe im saying this but also DaSilva on the pitch we looked levels above Millwall.

Glad we are out of the cup, time to focus on the league.

Bidders was solid at the back given the fact he was out of position.

Andrews, Allen, Simms, KKH, Brau and Raph will have a mountain to climb if they want to get into the starting 11.

Don’t like losing, but generally not too fussed being this competition.

Thought the usual first team players looked good when they come on, plenty of reasons to be happy as a Cov fan over the last week and one things for sure this result in a Micky mouse cup won’t be talked about come May.

Also special shoutout to the Millwall light display after the game.

Glad that game is out of the way.

Never want us to lose, but I want us to solely concentrate on the league

He was brilliant for Preston. Nothing pisses me off more than when people turn on players after 5 minutes, can we chill a bit?

I don't think anyone is actually picking on him just on this showing he wasn't very good

Preston’s POTY vs a guy who barely made the squad last season and has only played in the a league

Makes no sense then, surely you hold the former to a higher standard than the latter

Good result if we’re serious about promotion. Shame fringe players didn’t play better though

Yes it is vital for promotion that our subs bench play shite against another subs bench in our league.

He's clearly just rusty. We know he's a very good player.

Off piste and to give you all something to talk about. I played footie at the Higgs centre today, and on the othter pich City academy were playing Villa academy. There were 2 mass brawls that I was aware of, and (as yet to be confirmed) there was some sort of fight on the coach (assume Villa's) and the police were called out to it (I'd left before this happened)

Think we would have won that had we not brainlessly given away the second goal. Desperately need a new centre back in the building as we simply cannot got a full season with just Thomas, Kitching and Bidwell. All 6 of our goals conceded coming from set pieces is also a big concern that needs addressing.

In seriousness it's hard for a cobbled together team to perform as they just aren't used to playing together. Look at the other results tonight, there's some far worse ones.

I don’t see the massive need to worry, once Chillwell and Vardy settle in we will be fine

It’s vital we don’t play another game in this competition and reduce the probability the subs bench is needed to play in the league

I know you're a wum but that's poor

KKH has obviously been consistently good at this level whereas Rapha is yet to show anything. In fact even with our first choice right winger out a makeshift one (BTA) still gets in ahead of him.

That literally again makes no sense?

The original post was commenting on people unwilling to criticise KKH for a bad game, but more than willing to criticise Rapha. Its got nothing to do with their history in the league.

All the subs showed their quality and Rudi started opening them up all on his own. Wright has discovered work rate and looks like the 20m striker he should be!

Because it's easy to believe that's just Rapha's level, same isn't true for KKH.

They both had poor games. Neither has had much football. They’ll be fine

I do think some of the criticism of KKH on here is way over the top. I for one am reserving judgement until he has had a chance to settle in and get some minutes under his belt.

I thought Brau showed some nice touches.

Shame we couldn't win tonight because looking at other results, a lot of beatable teams have gone through to the next round.

Also on BTA - he was crap tonight but don't think that was ever gonna be his game. He needs to play off the work of others, he won't create much by himself.

KKH had a mare. I’m sure he will get better than what he showed tonight. Brau was equally as poor

Lampard interview says it all. Doesn’t think the fringe players took their chance to impress.

He’s right. The gulf between our fringe players and Rudoni, Wright, Torp etc is big

It's pretty simple

He was shit tonight

Doesn't mean recruitment got it wrong though. I expect him to go on to be a good player for us.
