I don’t like being knocked out but I’m not too fussed when we do get knocked out the league cup. We’ve been atrocious in it since I’ve supported them.

I remember the 2 legged defeats to Gillingham and Tranmere

Really should have won that. Defensive frailties again. Kitching was awful. Bidwell our best defender and DaSilva did well when he came on. Kelser-Hayden had a poor game. Thomas-Asante had a mare too.

Yeah he's a bit all over the shop positionally. Just seems to roam around everywhere.

Some reasonable bits at times, but he needs to be a lot more disciplined.

Disappointed to have lost, and yes we were shit in the 1st half, but i saw enough from the Key players when they were brought on, to know we can score plenty of goals when we play with our Championship team.

Gutted, was hoping for another uninspiring away draw with cheap tickets and the chance to bag a fistful of points

I know this game doesn't matter, and the second half performance generally was reasonable, but the manner of the goals that we give away really piss me off.

We've essentially conceded two goals to a team that barely carried a goal threat, and that's not that unusual. The defending at set-plays is really, really poor. We're not challenging unless we sort that out.

Also, all of our own corners are looped in. No variety and easy to defend.

Notice we don't leave players on either post and also 1 player to man mark Wilson from corners, with our players on the 6 yard box.

Poor. Only positive is wrights becoming the CF we want

Allen
Andrews
Simms
Raphael

Probably all need to leave the club either permanently or loan depending on the player but I doubt it will happen this window

Oh well on to the next one. Beat Oxford and this will be forgotten about quickly

It's a sh&t cup. I hate losing, but in the wider context, I'd sooner have lost than got through but picked up an injury to a key player. Oxford was/is always 10 times as important.

As long as Thomas isn't injured ( not sure why subbed) then I'm happy to have looked better second half and avoided any injuries. Not fussed about losing ( as long as we turn up on Saturday.

My take from today is I’m so happy with our first team. It was like a cheat code when they came on. This is going to be a very good season.

Well we didn't pick up an injury to a key player and we're out, great. One early season league game doesn't decide your fortunes in the competition.

Great 2nd half, primarily because Fat Frank brought on your big guns, but our defensive resilience came out top again.

Until then, we weren’t particularly troubled and our 2nd goal was massive, especially after we gave away a stupid, needless penalty and Wright pulled a goal back for you.

All in all, happy with the performance, even more so when we didn’t bring on our big guns to counter yours.

See you in 6 weeks where I feel it’s going to be a much different game.

My take is we need the injured players back asap! As soon as we had pretty much our first team out there the game changed! Had too much to do by that time though
