Just watching the programme on C4, re: Sports Direct. Apparently they pay nothing to Newcastle for the c160 advertising boards around the stadium, and Sports Direct have taken over the club shop and all profits go to Sports Direct.

It was also suggested he's doing it at Ibrox too. The staff in the club shops are pretty much SD employees.

Boundary Park is now the Sportsdirect.com Stadium I think, so I guess he's doing likewise there.

That's not something I or anyone I work with does. You should not be doing what was alleged in that programme. Think I know what will be the hot topic of conversation at work tomorrow.

The British publics overwhelming desire to cover themselves, fill their houses & stuff their bellys full of poor quality cheap tatty shit has a knock-on effect......what a startling revelation eh?

Absolutely and for every abused zero hour contracts worker in the Sports Direct warehouse in Derby's there are 10,000 in sweatshops in the far east working all day in dangerous conditions for peanuts. It's the way of the world now, we are going back to the divides of the Victorian Era. The rich get obscenely rich and the poor get poorer but many have brought it upon themselves !

I'd love an everlast vest. Means I would never ever have to buy one again.

Or is that supposed to be a brand name?

I haven't got a Scooby about designer stuff and have never bought a label in my life. Well, apart from a Primark, Asda or Tesco label, if that counts.

Pompey's kit is Sondico (part of Sports Direct) and their club shop is like a mini SD store. I go past it every day and there's little Pompey branding.
