Shock horror..... business man runs company to make profit for shareholders.
If you don't like it don't buy shares and don't work there !!! Simple.

I don't buy shares. Luckily I don't have to work for this company.
People don't always have a choice as to where they work, if there is a large conglomerate in the town which has put smaller companies out of business there is often little choice. Where do you draw the line with this argument? Children working 16 hour days with bleeding fingers in cold conditions working for pennies? There should be proper labour laws to create fair working conditions so people can work hard and live normal lives. This capitalist model you seem to favour, allows an individual to become a billionaire whilst many employees don't know whether they have any hours until the weekend before and they get paid minimum wage which isn't enough for rent and bills. I don't like it and I don't want someone who operates like that to be running our football club. I'm not really sure why my opinion has triggered you so much.

I don’t like a billionaire gambling tycoon funding Stoke through a business which relies on exploiting an addiction but was told it was ‘local boy helping local club’.

It's the sad truth that the only way a football club can be successful is with a wealthy owner bankrolling. Who knows who the people who own us now are, they're probably just as bad. There is an element of acceptance with this stuff but having spent years despising the clubs owns by oligarchs and nation states, it's going to be difficult to feel good about Mike Ashley running the club. So while everyone seems to be getting excited I'm having hard time getting used to the idea.

I do get that, but it still remains to be seen that he wants to take over the club. If he does end up doing that but also provides an economic boost to the area, succeeds in turning the stadium complex into something strong, and even manages to restore CCFC to the top tier, he'll have pulled off what B Richardson had in mind all along with some tangible benefits for the city.

I’m not convinced that some of the SISU investors have a clue that their money has been spent / invested on men in the U.K. kicking a round ball around.

On the Mail website, it states he is looking to get CCFC at a knockdown price as the owner of the Stadium. I wonder if Joy has capitulated this time

Ashley has stated he's not buying us.
On the cheap is in the headline but not mentioned further down in the photo section?

What does 'on the cheap' even mean? Obviously the club is less valuable without the stadium, but he is also buying the stadium so combined isn't 'cheap'.
I genuinely think if he buys the ground it wouldn't be long before Sisu sell to him. It's an easy out where they will recoup respectable money for there investors and the game would be up regarding sisu stadium ownership

If he buys the stadium it gives him a great opportunity to buy the club at a very cheap price as the club has virtually no assets.

Half the squad are out of contract at the end if the season, and it's become very apparent that Sisu arnt prepared to continue pumping money in, the proposed new stadium is complete bullshit, so eventually they'll have to cut their losses and sell.

Ccfc value with the Otium debt in reality is £1 - it’s a case of how much of the £20m debt a buyer would settle out. Can’t see it being very much - the clubs only assets are players and a new buyer will just say they are required anyway

Well, that's the thing, no-one's said anything! None of the parties have even confirmed their bids, so it's left for journos/us to fill the void with conjecture.

Why would there be any info in the public domain?? Surely this is the one time when everything needs to be kept quiet and confidential until it's done.
I can't imagine MA will be leaking stuff and probably has SISU in an NDC, so the journos are as much in the dark as we are.

A franchise for MLS is what, $200m to enter the league?

What is an established brand in the Championship worth? Nothing on your assertion.

You, sir, are totally clueless.

The club has £20 million debt and no assets

I’m still waiting for the bizarre logic Ashley has to pay £35m for the lease. He doesn’t

In next weeks exciting episode;

Ccfc increase its wage bill to £4 million
Seppala is prepared to sell for £55 million - a queue forms round the stadium
A 7 foot 5 striker is found in wildest Borneo and ccfc send Andy thorn to scout the emerging talent
