so are we ?

League Two Table - Football - BBC Sport

Same form as Luton and Exeter, and Better than Notts County and Swindon

only 3 teams in better form

We were/are. The last game against Forest Green was damaging as we possibly lost the majority of the defence in key areas to injury for a huge run of games.

That's gonna put huge strains on any side in L2.

In a single week we have gone from being just 1 point outside the automatic places, to 5 points outside the automatic places.

Very damaging that FGR defeat and the players must really question themselves too after a game where they lose to a team right down the other end of the table.

It's bonkers. But we are 5 points from 2nd place. Isn't too bad in reality.

What's annoying are those games we should have won. It's the teams below us that are tripping us up and our away form.

At the moment I would take a play off place with our inconsistency.

But not even win. A draw against FGR would have been okay.

If we can win our home matches and draw away we will be there or thereabouts.

It just shows what pace can do to teams in this league Notts County couldn't cope with JJ pace first game of the season and got absolutely battered last night by pace all be it against Swansea. Saturday is now a massive game we need to win and we should be all out attack.IMO.

You are telling me to get a grip based upon my saying a draw would have been okay at FGR?

Errmmm.......okay ....... I think it's you who needs to get a grip. I would suggest on reality for starters.

All I said was that a draw at FGR would have been okay. Hardly me slitting my wrists now is it.

No panic yet, if we beat Accrington we will be only 2 points behind them, with a good probability either them or Wycombe will hit a bad run of results. Personally I'm glad Swindon lost, I see them as a bigger threat than Accrington.

What equation has lead you to that conclusion?

The reality is that Feb is tough month with all the away games we have. We need to ensure we get the right mix of wins and draws to keep us in the play off pack.

If we start to lose and drift away the confidence in the team will be hit for 6 as we get in to March. That's when the pressure will be on.

Fair play to him and Accrington for that, I would say it's nice to see but it isn't nice to see it but more good to see the understanding

If anybody had said at the start of season that in early February.

We will on 50 points after 30 games. With 15 wins, and very healthy goal difference +12, With the best defence in the league, with a striker on shit hot scoring streak.

And add to boot we would be on a Fa cup run of wininng 4 games including massive wins vs Stoke and MK Dons. Potentially more to come.

I think we would have all taken that no doubt!

Jeez some fans really need to look at the huge strides we have made since the summer. Rather than focusing on a bad run of 1 or 2 games in isolation.

Take a step back , pause and think about the huge strides on the pitch we have made so far in so little time.

Quite frankly the threads taxi and motor vehicle for MR are pathetic.

I'd been aware of this for a while and that he sticks to his own diet of normal everyday food that we all eat, it's more s non league players diet not a pro footballers. It's a shame to see he has his demons but you got to admire the way he has become open about it and sharing his feelings. Its very common in the game now sadly.

I think the telling thing from the interview is the support he's getting from his manager and players. Tells you everything about Accrington and why they are over achieving as a club. It's the tight togetherness of the players and management team.

He'd possibly not be in the game anymore If it wasn't for John Coleman and Accrington.

I knew about the diet, doesn't he eat loads of Crisps or something? He mentions it in there about being bipolar so may have something to do with it.

Fair play to him for speaking about it, it always helps others know they shouldn't hide it away and keep it to themselves. I'd like to think no city fans would even think about mentioning something like that as a "heckle".

Last time we played them didn't our fans give their player shit then he scored and gave it back?

You could argue he's possibly not be here anymore it if wasn't for John Coleman and Accrington. It's always hard with situations like this, it's tough to hear of his despair but also enlightening to hear how he's overcoming it. The more stuff on anxiety and depression is publicised especially through popular culture or sporting icons, the more it will be recognised, accepted and will help those suffering. Sadly, there are still plenty of people who 'deny' it or think its a 'weakness' or they're 'pussies' and won't be convinced otherwise.

That's it yes, just has what he wants really. Excellent player at L2 level and unlikely to make the step up with any other club really.

In all honesty I doubt many of our fans on the wider scale are aware of who he is or of his troubles unless SSN have featured it.

Sean McConville was the man who scored against us at Accrington. Another good player at this level, very instrumental in there form this year.

He's a played I'd like here. Will be in the L2 team of the year easily in my opinion.

As I said MR take notice how to play against the league 2 teams who defend deep with 2 banks of players on the break. Patient build up across the back line side to side wait for a gap to appear and midfield to break though and thread the ball to the front men

I don't know. Spurs have history of being beaten in the FA Cup by underdogs.

I believe Hyam can play at left back? Anyone know for sure? Because I dread Haynes being at left back as he is a better left sided midfield player

Amazing how many have an epiphany after being exposed for being a tw@ - lots of sympathy above, so perhaps the below link for balance!

Just because somebody gets in a fight it doesn't mean they can't then get sympathy for a mental illness.

It's not as if he is making it all up to get away from the fact he punched somebody.

Very true. But also amazing how at 26 he has never mentioned anything then all of a sudden after being involved he wants to share stories regarding anxiety and depression. If it's genuine then it shouldn't be mocked, but I doubt that I'm the only old cynic on here who believes the timing to be more than a little convenient.

How do you know he hasn't mentioned things to others?

It's a pretty big thing to make up to try and distract from punching somebody on a night out.

I don't know, but neither do you. All I quoted was that it's convenient there was no press mention of any issues, then he gets exposed for being a tw@ and hey presto a short time later it's all out there. He wouldn't be the first to have tried that course of action and certainly won't be the last, but clearly my opinions (and yours) are unsubstantiated.

I'd say that would be a lot worse than the original thing of getting into a drunken fight outside a nightclub. It also means his club, manager etc would also have to be in on it.

It's a massive act to have a to keep up.

It's hardly exposing him, he got into a scrap outside a bar so it's not really on a massive scale that needs him to invent a mental illness to take the attention away from it.
