The OP in this thread is about wasps and mentions the badges, so it's relevant to this thread. It was relevant to match thread as that's when and where we saw them, and I asked in the cwr thread as I'd seen some hoohar on Twitter about it, and as ChiedDave had said the programme was a moanfest wondered whether it had been mentioned.

When it is suggested a few people seem to have an issue with it, when the club was asked on Twitter a few didn't seem keen on the idea and a few on here don't seem to be happy with it else they would have said "That's a good idea, it wont cost much".

Italia yesterday was pretty dead set against it too.

You are the one telling people not to discuss things as it won't change anything, the same as Italia goes on about not being able to change things and "deal" with things.

So ever time that bad news comes out about our club means everyone is free to have a go at SISU if they want? Like if SISU were not a bunch of cunts there wouldn't be any Wasps signs anywhere near the stadium?

And it is me missing the point?

Moan if you like but don't moan about others moaning. Quite simple really.

It depends how far you want to go back I guess, people were moaning about the NEW badges that have been added. Where do we stop? Do we go all the way back to Highfield Road times and the fuck ups then every time something happens with the club?

People are quick to tell others to get over it, but then drag lots of history up when people discuss new issues.

People have suggested putting a ccfc flag over the badge and look how people react against it? Especially with our very own manager doing his best to brand things CCFC from the training ground to the coach.

What gets me is when someone says that they are unhappy with a situation so will say what they want but have a go at others saying what they want.

A few seemed very angry and wound up that the Wasps signs around the perimeter were mentioned so I assume they are against it?

What was it Italia said yesterday, they have more important things to do I believe he said.

Of course they are. Happens all the time. However it isn't all down to SISU, which is why other chip in. I'll never forgive SISU, ACL's former owners or wasps for what happened. The only innocent parties in this is us fans.

People moan about things like the new signs being discussed in 3 threads but want to drag the history up in as many threads as they can? How does that work?

Nobody is saying ignore the past, but where do we stop with working it out?

Wasps kick is out of the Ricoh isn't Wasps being bad, it is SISU being bad because of what they took on and what Richardson caused. People can discuss issues seperately, it is like saying blame everybodies parents for having sex and giving birth to them.

I would cover all wasps badges for ccfc games and expect them to do the same at wasps games.

if we don't do that, as far as I can see it, TM isn't that bothered, so why should we be.

Because TM has been here 4-5 months and won't be here in 2-3 years, where as we're fans that have supported the club for years, saw the Ricoh as our home, our stadium and our hope going forward, and will be still here (health permitting) in 20-30-40+ years time. We need it for our identity.

Nobody has even said they should all be covered. I wouldn't expect somebody to take / cover all of the Wasps stuff down around the ground every time we play there within a couple of hours. It was just about covering up the ones around the pitch.

It would be lovely if everything was all CCFC, but not very realistic.

If TM isn't that bothered, why is he wasting money on branding up the training ground and painting the coach?

He's mentioned it a few times how there is nothing at the Ricoh which represents us and loads of Wasps stuff so I imagine he is bothered and will change it if he can.

I get that some things will be permanent fixtures like the wasps club shop, the massive badge at reception, the big badges on the outside of the arena and the large badges on the inside of the arena but the little things that can be quickly and easily solves with little effort, there is no reason why these things can't be changed/covered on the days we use the arena.

Only reason would be if Wasps don't want it changed as some sort of advertising plan to locals.

I did. why cant we cover all major wasps signs on ccfc match days ?

that's my point. TM is doing a lot to brand us, so this might be on his agenda.

The ones on the outside bother me more than those on the inside. You can't miss the outside signs. And we have good football to watch instead of looking at advertising.

Again, people were watching the game. It is before and half time etc.

What if SISU put SISU signs up around? Pretty sure people would be bothered then.

Why is it ok for people to moan the same about SISU week in week out with the good football but not for people to moan about new signs that have just been added.

You're right, but we can't really do much about the the ones on the outside. The ones around the pitch will take about 30 seconds to cover for a CCFC match. Theres no reason not to

And thats what people have been getting at, I can understand why people would question if somebody had said they should take every Wasps sign at the ground down when we play, but they haven't.

CCFC don't own the stadium. SISU don't either. It may look shite to us but they are within their rights as the stadium is theirs.

And I have said that further up, theres no issue in us covering them if it is a 30 second task though is there?

Face it, if those new badges said SISU. People would kick off wouldn't they? Dare I say some of the people saying it isn't an issue about the Wasps ones too.

Of course they are within rights but it is unnecessary and shows a lack of tactfulness, I suspect they didn't think it would be a problem when they did as they didn't think twice, getting permission to cover them up will hopefully be a straightforward conversation as I can't see why Wasps would enforce they have to remain for football matches.

They are within there rights to spray paint a massive penis on the pitch for when ccfc play but that doesn't make it ok as it would be hugely disrespectful.

If this sort of stuff isn't an issue then why do the club go to the trouble of removing most of the Wasps advertising boards and replacing them with PUSB boards for when we play?

I suspect this won't be a problem for the Southend game as clearly it is something the club will want to do and I'm thinking there won't be many major objections from ACL.

The Paradox Is huge we were expected to play In another town with another teams branding and focus on the team.
Now we're home and attempting to be positive, focus on the teametc and I am.
None of It bothers me, I am enjoying myself cos we're playing whee we should be
That must make me one huge hypocrite.

I am focusing on the team as I believe it can only be beneficial to the team over the season to minimise the wasps branding and maximise the ccfc branding on the days we play in the stadium.
