A lot of fans are burying their heads in the sand. After this season wasps have it in their power to render the club homeless and probably out of existence,

They are clearly a ruthless organisation so show no interest in customer care. Their total maxim is profit and given the fact all they've ever done is make massive losses to ignore this threat is absurd.
I doubt they would so ruthlessly not negotiate an amicable ongoing deal for CCFC to use the Ricoh - it is an income stream for them when Wasps are not using it for themselves. It isn't like there are a dozen or indeed any equally lucrative competitors in the frame (that we know of )

...onwards & upwards PUSB

That's hilarious. Our owners are pussy cats and compared to the team from Lomdim certainly do care a lot more about the club - though to be fair Wasps set the benchmark very very low.

This is an organisation that had a regular fan base and moved the club 85 miles north after a season had started. It actually really could not care less if those fans stuck with it as if no one from the local Coventry area supported it there would have been s collapse of catastrophic proportions.

What you need to ask yourself is this - if you lived in Wycombe and were a wasps fan and the club moved to Coventry what would you do? Join the party or stand in Car Park C?

Now if you say yes to the former why then didn't you embrace Sixfields as that was never a permanent move?

You embraced it but moan about others.
And our owners did say they would never come back funny you overlook that!!

Did they care when we were moved away?
I couldn't care less about Wasps fans!!!

They said they would own their own ground an now they do most of their fans are behind them.

As for setting the benchmark look closer to home.
No ground of our own
No shop of our own(run by a third party)
sharing a ticket office with yet another Rugby Club

The support thing is an issue unfortunately City have a very small following here due to endless owners screwing us, shame these owners never changed this when they took over.

They started by saying all the right things, but never ever did anything they have said they would.

I have given up caring about any of that shit only care about the team.
We can't change or influence anything, so will just keep going to games and supporting the team.

So moving a club out of a city to another actually means nothing to you morally?

I went to two games. You saw far more games in Northampton than me. That was temporary the wasps deal is permanent. Why you cannot see how the trust never condemned the decision to support a London franchise made them look absurd is seriously beyond me.

What debate is there to be had here? We all don't like that Wasps own our stadium, but what replies can be posted?

Pointless thread.

Kind of agree here. This argument has been done to death and it is all getting rather tiresome.

Now if someone wants to come up with ideas for how to try and get rid of Wasps then I am fully committed and onboard.

We've blamed Sisu to death and now we have blamed CCC to death. Nothing is going to change on that. Let's at least have discussions on the future and what can be done, if anything for us to get at least a foothold in the Ricoh or where else we can possibly go to.

Let's not just endlessly churn up the same old tired arguments again and again and again. I reckon we could all come up with a list of posters and say exactly what their stance is on the matter. We know exactly how people feel and who they blame and to what degree.

We need to focus on what we do now. How can we help aid the failure of Wasps here? How can we regain the Ricoh as primarily our ground? Etc. Not keep retreading the past.

So it is OK for you to constantly moan about the Wasps signs but not OK to mention the Wilson sale as those that agree with you said it was a good bit of business selling him for 3m although no money was used to replace him and a few kept up with the rubbish when we knew nothing was being used for that reason.

The loss of Wilson was a lot bigger than some Wasps signs. But you seem to see it differently.

So what is the excuse for the other threads? Should we start a thread each time we drive past or look for a reason to mention it in every thread? At least Stu won't be alone then.

Let's look at what you said, you've obviously forgotten:

Astute said:
It is getting a bit silly on here now. How about talking about how well we are doing instead of things that we can't change? Just like what you would say if someone had a go at SISU. As in why have a go at SISU all the time as they are with us for the foreseeable future. Try doing as you preach

YOU told me that I shouldn't mention wasps anymore as we can't do anything about it, it's in the past now.

I'm just pointing out you are doing the same with Wilson.

It's a forum, where within reason there is free speech, and therefore I can mention wasps as much as I want, and you can mention Callum Wilson as much as you want.

Some people have moved on and seem ok with the wasps thing. Unfortunately I have not, it still deeply hurts me, what SISU, the former owners of acl and wasps have done to our club and the fans and as such I will mention it whenever I feel like it. X

I receieved an email back from the club and they agreed with me and said measures will hopefully be in place for the next match so they won't be visible.

Yes I got to admit moaning about some wasps signs? It is their fucking ground, get over it.

No reason like ccfc has posted why they can't be covered over on a match day. It's obviously a sore point around Coventry and just be respectful and we will all be happy. (To an extent)

Too be honest never even noticed them till they were pointed out to me never gave them a second look.
I turned around to speak to the bloke behind me at Millwall for about 10 seconds when I turned around I saw the ball going in the net, missed the chip so wasn't going to get caught out again by focusing on some shitty sign.

Hopefully, that is what annoyed me on Tuesday. It was just so unnecessary for them to be there for a football match, would have taken 30 seconds before and after the match and been a simple solution.

That costs money.

Will have to come out of the players budget like the painting of the training ground.....

A Sisu out banner would be better I can supply one if they wish

Why would people be against covering over wasps badges when we play there though? I don't get it?

I can understand why people would be against NOPM, but why would they be about trying to brand the ground as much as possible when we play there?

Obviously it is Wasps ground and they can do what they want with it, at the time when it came out I said they wouldn't give a shit about us or look after us like some made out. They don't have to or need to. There is no harm in us making it more CCFC and less Wasps when we play there though is there?

I don't moan at anyone who has a go at SISU, I might debate with them, but I'm pretty sure I've never told anyone not to moan or mention it.

I do challenge those who NOPM but it's more about the concept of it rather than telling them to stop moaning about it.

Again, I'll turn your last question back to you. You're having a go at me about this, is that because you don't have the same view as me. You don't seem to challenge those that have the same view as you. You're being a hypocrite here.

It was mentioned in the match thread because it was the first game they had been there, it isn't like somebody started going on about the Wasps having a shop at the ricoh.

I'm sure it has been mentioned on here because of the OP actually being about the signage.

What gets me is when someone says that they are unhappy with a situation so will say what they want but have a go at others saying what they want.
