That is genuinely bloody hilarious! His reaction is quite funny too, like he knew what was coming.

Oh and Sixfields? Basically looks like a non-league ground. What a come-down from The Ricoh.

i recon when he's finished with football, sorry that should be finished in football he has a career in politics waiting for him. politicians are the only people who would have the lost touch with reality air about themselves to make a statement like that.

I would like a job like that where you can make a total pratt of yourself and still get paid. Joy I can be available if required!

It really reminded me of Ben Swain in TFOI.

You do it on here all the time, you just have to do it for free. Thems the breaks.

both annoyed and depressed

simply cant believe its happening to our proud club...

What a shambles...

Its purely my opinion, but anyone that goes to "support" us at "home" in Northampton really need to ask why they are going

I suspect quite a number of the non season tickets being bought are just out of curiosity rather than any actual interest in going for more than one game. Expect the crowds to plummet after a couple of games.

The travel combined with the lack of atmosphere will dampen peoples initial enthusiasm especially if we start losing every week

Even if somehow the team gets a run of decent results together the club is capping what it can earn by using such a small stadium. It loses so much money versus the Ricoh even with Sixfields being sold out every game, which is never going to happen. The Crewe game last season was one of the most powerful demonstrations to everyone that if there is a whiff of success about the club then the people will come.

Which is why anyone with half a brain cell. Or anyone who did not defend SISU's tactics so much last season they now feel they can't admit they were wrong. Can see or admit to seeing that Northampton is not about rent, beers, burgers or balti pies.
It is about owning a management company by breaking them .
We the fans are a inconvenient factor in the business plan.

He actually looked surprised at the laughter and had to quickly come up with a different estimate. PMSL. The Guardian was very close when they said "Tim Fisher is a Banker", just one letter out.

I love the way the laughter is spontaneous and uncontrolled, rather than the mocking type you might get in, say, Parliament. Those people couldn't help lol'ing! At that point, Fisher becomes Ben Swaine.

What makes this all a joke, is the perfect view from that hill! Can imagine if it by some miracle the season goes well, or a decent cup draw that hill will packed, but the stadium will be empty!

If it's a sunny sunday you can set up a picnic and watch the game for free! It looks an utter shed

Midlands Today have a long and sordid history of taking money from charities and other benevolent organisations purely for the purpose of disenfranchising people with the 'wrong' sort of beliefs. it's been documented in numerous magazines. It would not surprise me if this is a similar sort of situation to the FL thing with the issuing of the golden share. There's a book written by a chap named Bill Wessum if you don't believe me.

Jesus that's so funny I almost felt sorry for Fisher. Madly clicking and twidling his pen, his eyes trying to disappear into his skull and hasty, spur of the moment recalculation.
What a complete tosser, a wind bag, a pen pushing c**t of the highest order.

What made me laugh (a little) was when the reporter was driving our fan to Sixfields, and went on to say he couldn't face entering the ground, so spoke with him on the hill.

But extreme, is it not?

A touch melodramatic on his part-though he would presumably have needed Northampton's permission anyway.

The 10 point deduction is a handicap with our squad - but if by some miracle we put in winning streak together and gates increase a bit, that may heap more pressure on Fisher to do a deal and get us back at the Ricoh where the crowds and income could increase significantly.
