there wasn't any. He was shocking, and League Two is where he belongs.

That said, he will compete in League Two and no doubt when we finally get there, he will have a stormer

There was and there still is. Or perhaps that just comes from my dad and another of the group who I attend games with.

I'd like to think they do it just to wind me up, but unfortunately they are serious with their love for him :/

I'd be interested to see him in our midfield now compared to the love in for bigi.

I hadn't seen the news about Doyle fighting his own player at half time when I mentioned him!

Lay off Bigi. He's one of our own remember. And clearly deserved the 200000th MOTM award he won today in only his 15th appearance

Also what has happened to Spence and that young winger from the reserves.

Spence has got 4 goals for 23's Looks like he could do a job and can play of both feet looking at some of his and devons clips they looks better than loan players as does thomas hope they all get a chance.

I'm just glad it's Cambridge in the cup coming up to get rid of a game's suspension and allow time for Rose to recover (properly)
Does Stevenson get 2 or 3 game ban?
Made me smile (amidst the pain) of hearing our 'manager' say something akin to 'at least we're still in 2 cups'!

3 game ban.

Yep, MV alluded to the fact we were still in 2 cups as some sort of badge of honour.

I think the situation may lead MV finally to play 4 -4 ****in 2!
Personally think Rose will pass fitness test and make game would play following team.
Would like Tudguy and Sordell given the chance to play as front two together with pace on the wings.
Haynes and Jones scare league two teams it seems from check a trade games.

RCC
Sterry RB
Turnbull CB
Willis CB
Page - or if cup tied Haynes LB
Jones RW
Reid LW
Rose/Gadhzev CM
Bigi CM
Sordell ST
Tudguy ST

Subs: Burge, Harries, Kelly Evans, Maycock, Lameiras, G.Thomas, Ageyi

Yep. I don't see how we can pick Tudgay again.

Would rather George Thomas and Sordell as a front two.

Tudguy hasn't coverd himself in glory agreed this year to say the least however he has never really played in a 2.
That being said although I don't agree on G,Thomas part above if he got the nod in a 2 would not mind,,,,,we do not have squad to play one up top like last year.
If we played 2 with G.Thomas and Sordell I would not mind,,,,,or Ageyi and Sordell I just think we need 2 up there we carry virtually no attacking threat currently whoever plays as the one up top!

Tudguy is fine coming off thr bench to calm things down but his legs are gone. I dont want to see agyei or wright play for us again, neither are good enough and both need to be sent back in Jan. Why develop someone else's players when they are no better than our own?.

G Thomas deserves to be given another run.

We need to back to the drawing board and decide how we want to play and score goals. We dont have 2 players who can score 30 goals out of nothing, so we need to come up with a plan.

I'm not adversed to 442 or playing 2 big strikers and feed off crosses, if thats the way we're going Spence needs to come and play on the right until we can bring in a right footed winger.

4-2-3-1:

Burge
Sterry Willis turnbull Page
Bigi Vlad/Lawton
Jones Lameries Reid
Sordell

The fact I'm proposing Lawton, who I have barely seen play, as an alternative to Vlad shows how poor he has been.

Plus, I'm starting Jones/Reid, neither of whom I particularly rate as starters (in a better team both would be impact subs only), again shows how poor our squad is.

I liked TM, but his bizarre tactics/formation at the start of the season meant he had to go, and the fact we are paying for his poor recruitment shows how out of touch he had become.

Isn't MV doing the exact same thing as TM now chopping and changing the team every game did he learn anything from his mate?

I liked TM too, but am now getting increasingly narked with each game when I see how badly he has recruited this season.

That is not a decent squad at all. Big gaps all over the place, a lack of physicality and an overload of substandard strikers.

I actually think he's more consistent in team selection (but that's gut feel alone, I'm not wasting time looking through previous selections).

Either way my post wasn't defending MV, but highlighting the poor recruitment over the summer - especially in the striking department.

I agree. There's a handful of good players, but a massive gap between them and the rest of the squad.

Nonetheless, on paper the squad is not relegation standard.

You look at that team and instantly think - "if Sordell doesn't score, who else will?"

Yep. There's hardly a goal to be found out of Lameiras, Jones and Reid.

We need two up front I think.

Might as well give McBean a shot at one of the places in the cups.

It goes back to those questions - how do we play football? How do we want to score goals? Etc. What's the point of playing Jones and Reid if you're only going to get one man in the box? Ruben has the quality to play no 10, but who's going to make runs in beyond Sordell? Are we looking to score from crosses or through balls? Or are we a set piece team? Or are we purely a counter attacking team? Or are we a possession football team that wants to score perfect goals? What are our strengths?

Hmm strengths back line not too bad, Sordelll is league one standard, pace on flanks, composure on ball in case of Stevenson and Bigi.
I think we need to go a bit longer in our style and think we have to play two up top encouraging wingers to push on and attack their men.

For me that would be Jones and Reid on flanks and Tudguy up front with Sordell.
The wingers and front 2 can be argued over as there really is not much between any of our squad options.
We have to play 2 up top though!

I honestly don't think Reid or Jones are good enough to start. But I suppose who else have we got?

They don't create enough chances because their final product is dire, and they both can't shoot effectively themselves either.
