As I noted above, Finch has sunk without trace. I'm sure that he wouldn't have been retained last season if his contract had been up.Would imagine so.
Felt for Maycock today what an awful time to be thrown into the first team squad, his brief spell he reminded me of Jack Finch even to look at and his demeanour, hopefully he'll have a better time of things than Finch.
But as you point out, the problem isn't that we've lost a few key players, but that our squad is so poor that we can't cope with it. All teams get injuries like this, it's just that other teams have cover for the eventuality..We have a wafer thin squad and it consists of....

Stokes -----Missed all the season so far
Thomas ---Missed near all the season so far
Ricketts----Retired due to injury
McCann---We got 9 games out of him
In a squad like ours, we cant afford to have 5 out of our 16-18 man squad injured.
MCCanns loan finishes on the 31st December so he could play in 6 more games...... if he did that would have been 15 out of 31 games, the likely hood is it will be 9 out of 31.... the loan signing that totally hasn't benefited us like it was ment to!We have a wafer thin squad and it consists of....

From what I've read on here, hes still playing in the u23's but Thomas, mcbean, DKE seem to be the main attacking threats and have scored a lot of goals.I thank you, looks like we might have to get Fisher to get his boots on or worse jack finch
