Don't wish to compound the problem, but, JOB is carrying hamstring injury and Fleck is just one more booking away from a 2 game ban.

What the hell are we going to do if we lose those 2 at the same time?

Sign a striker on loan?

Try something different that may actually work.

What about sticking Webster in there, where his endless mistakes don't cost us as much damage?

And put who in there? Maybe the midfield players we haven't got?

Fleck did ok in parts today but there is so littke intent or passion or determination. I genuinely would love a 90 minute performance from any of our midfield or strike force. Tudgay did ok tonight but didbt look like he knew how to score

The midfield is too crowded with players falling over each other. This will create a bit more room. Mowbray will sort it out. It's all under control now.

Its likely Thomas will be back by then so he would play alongside Barton and then two of Odelusi, Williams, Turgott playing wide probably (or even Nouble/Samuel playing wide if we are desperate enough)

Fine, but then we will be down to just 2 central midfield players. Means that both Barton and Thomas would have to play and have to play the entire 90 mins whether they are having a bad game or not.

Thomas x2, turgot, Finch, any other youth player, Pennington, JOB is not good enough and Fleck is ok when pushed more forwards like the last few games but we need a tackler alongside the current ones which I agree with you, we don't have.

Where do you start with this midfield. The root of all our problems this season and the tail end of last season. I actually thought in December we were looking solidish at the back and the strikers were ok. Quite how we now seem to have had a near overhaul of both the back 5 and the front 2 and I'm still having to stomach Fleck and O'Brien I've no idea. And Barton... I will confidently say will never grace another football league club come the end of his contract. Doesn't have the aggression to be a professional and should get himself an office job somewhere.

Was interesting that instead of bringing A winger on to replace JOB, he moved samuel there and brought a striker on. I get the feeling we're overhyping Turgott based on one decent U21's performance none of us actually watched.

Thought fleck and barton worked hard but we're both distinctly average in possession again.

Would have liked to have seen Turgott brought on as a replacement for Odelesi

I thought flecky showed some class at times and a bit of steele.but i have to say barton is one of the most inept footballers i have ever seen.just awfull.
