Could Lati be used as defensive midfielder to give the defence and grimes extra protection?
Or is it a case of Eccles and grimes of Oneyko doesn’t sign

No to Lati but I would maybe try to get more bodies in the midfield especially away from home

The midfield was not the issue today. Eccles did a good job of making us more solid and pragmatic in the middle, without the acres of space we were leaving previously.

The issue was the defence, and in particular Kitching.

I thought Eccles has a great game only him and Rushworth can hold there heads up

I don’t think it’s a coincidence that kitching and Thomas have been horrific the last few months and we’ve been shit! We’re going to keep leaking goals if those pair keep defending like they do

They aren’t good enough. We’ve been conceding goals for months and for some reason the defence is untouchable.

Other teams are playing better than they were at the beginning of the season and are up for it when they play us for a second time. We are top so we are a scalp. We can bring in two more before Monday evening but it can only be dealt with by the squad we already have. They have to raise their game. There should be no blame game for this, people are even saying Grimes is the reason, go figure that one?

People keep obsessing over midfield. It's the full backs and defence.

Grimes will look shit because he's left exposed time and time again trying to cover.

Brentford under Thomas Frank regularly played 4-3-3 at home and switched to 3-4-3 away

Why don’t we do the same?

Outside of Rushworth, I don’t think I can defend any player for how poor we’ve looked the last 2 months. There is no leader, no determination, no grit, no mental fortitude in the squad at the moment, nobody to grab the game by the scruff of the neck and drive the team forward. Hamer used to be that guy. Grimes looks like he’s out of gas. Frank looks lost in the interviews and that really scares me. How can he not know what the root of the problem is? Has he lost the dressing room? Why are we so open and easy to score against? If you can’t win, at least don’t lose.

How I’d love Hackney and Morris in our midfield. Full of energy and creativity.

I’m now starting to think Grimes is becoming a hindrance to our play. He’s a good player but the role he’s being asked to perform isn’t helping us in this system.
