No chance of anymore sadly.

If we do the unthinkable and make the play offs. Dave Boddy better not even think about giving opposition more than legally required/what the opposition give.

If Boro or Luton etc give a small allocation, give them the same back.

That would only happen if we sell out with the home fans.

How many points IF we get Luton away in the semi final? Seems like they allocate 1032. 1300 points?

Hard to complain that regulars get priority, equally it is also hard to increase your points total if the away tickets are always snapped up by that group. Only fair way if allocations remain around 2k though

A second leg would easily sell out.

The only way it doesn't sell out is if the club charge £33+. It would be hard to predict at that price.

I’d love that to be true. We won’t finish 3rd or 4th so the first leg will be at home

It would still sell out imo. Charge £40 and it would.

Given the comments on the forum it will be 5000 away fans and just shy of 26000 home tickets available

Plenty of opportunity this season for people to accumulate points. There were very few cases of it selling out on the high priority number. Don't think that argument washes personally.

Could be wrong but I think there’s only 5 days between end of season and the first leg. So would be hard to sell out

If it didn't sell out I'd be staggered, a chance of getting to the Premier league. Ticket's would be like rocking horse shit, and good luck trying to get one for an away leg.
Unless you're in one of the supporters clubs.

Sadly I don't think I'd get an away ticket, but fair enough as below others on points. Would pay a decent amount for one!

We were averaging about 8k a week back then.

We've sold more season tickets this season than we got for that fixture. The demand would be huge. The championship play offs are a different beast.

That's what it's been for league games. If we get shafted for away allocations, the pressure would be on Boddy and co to limit.

They would likely give a smaller initial allocation rather than offering 5k.

Midweek ones for sure, but during term time that’s a non starter. Tickets being released at 10 am on working days doesn’t make it easy either.

We are both season ticket holders as well so will gain a fair bit for next season anyway.

We should give our fans a chance to sell out tickets before offering that amount to the away team. 5,000 away fans would seriously dampen our home advantage. Should be no more than 3,000 as far as I'm concerned, although if we don't sell the remainder then I do think we can't complain if more are given to the away team.

Anyhow lets get to the play offs first off!!

Of course, and that's really unfortunate for you, but is also quite personal to your situation. The 10am situation is definitely a pain. I am not sure of a good solution but would be good to see something put in place. It won't just be the same people accumulating points though, it will still be open to non-teachers and those willing to put the miles into travel during midweeks. I'm fortunate enough that I work an office job that allows me to leave at like 4ish at a push, which is a lot more flexible than others. It doesn't necessarily make it a breeze for me to get points though. Wigan away particularly was a nightmare. 3.5 hour journey up there, made it just in time to see kick off having dumped the car in a place I didn't know if I would get a ticket for, and didn't get home until 1.30am, up at 6 with my daughter. I am not saying you're saying this, but there's plenty of people who assume those who have loads of points are just swanning around with buckets loads of cash and never working and it's all so easy for them.

Of course, and I also said I have no issue at all with those who go the extra mile in midweek getting rewarded for it. Just for me, the 10 am ticket release is really inconvenient but being honest as I can’t book time off work most away midweek games are also not possible.

As it happens we did manage to get Boro tickets as the wife was off, but it will only be our 4th away of the season.

I'm lucky I can get on the Internet at 10am on a Monday morning. Only missed out on Watford away this year and that was only because I forgot.

I tend to take leave for the mid week games. I've taken tomorrow off and then will "work from home" on Thursday as I'll be fucked.

Built up a sizeable point tally, so lucky in that respect.

I can only remember Luton sold in the working day on 1st allocation day all season so thats not a great excuse even for a 99 hour week teacher.

maybe not
play off proceeds are pooled across the 4 teams (who then only share 50% of the net proceeds) . We maybe therefore shooting ourselves in the foot going too high
I would imagine closer to £20

so if £33, I imagine after VAT an average ticket of closer to £20 with expenses at say 25% of that, we would see

£15 x 50% x 25% or around £1.75 per ticket (about £50k total with a sell out which we would not get with those prices) - so there is no benefit of setting prices too high

£20 with a full house, would probably worth just as much to the club in just financial terms alone

And of course they should, you can't on the one hand say it's a massive game the biggest for a generation and on the other that it should be devalued. King said the other day he understands the impact of devaluing your product so not a chance would there be an offer.

Had a dropout so I’m selling a spare. £31. Happy to hand it over at the game on Saturday at CBS or at Boro the week after.
