Quite good to be fair. Not that it's difficult, but certainly that section behind the goal were one of the better set of fans home/away this season.

Rest of the ground were strangely silent.

However, how baffling was it that 4/5 fans kept breaking through the segregation and the stewards just walked them back go the stand? One found his way on the netting at the Cov end. Cov fans didn't even notice him being there for a while.

Eventually the police stepped in, threw a few punches at a few Middlesbrough fans and then walked off.

Could you imagine the response by West Midlands police if Cov fans did that? Makes a mockery of our 3000 seats worth of segregation.

Every club has them but I've never seen so many fans keen to give wanker signs all game. Was funny to watch.

Riverside is a good ground. Seems smaller than the Ricoh weirdly. Possibly the steep stands we have. It's a lovely walk to the ground from the town. Middlesbrough has a bad reputation but there are worst places in England (despite the above!).

The end behind the goal was the best home atmosphere I've seen in a long long time. But they are a horrible bunch. Long walk back to the car hearing that bloody song about paddy mcnair over and over again

Isn’t their most famous export Roy Chubby Brown? Should give you an idea of the demographic up there.

Yeah good atmosphere behind that goal but those kids by the netting were a bunch of pricks giving it the big one the whole game. They spent more time watching us than the game. That young lad that did make it over the netting lobbed an object at the cov fans, looked like a lighter or something but the old bill and stewards just let him walk back to his seat.

Baffling weren't it? Compare that to the heavy handed policing and stewarding you see at the Ricoh!

Police in South stand

Very heavy police presence in the south stand in the second half. What was that all about?
fmttmboro.com

Seems like a Coventry fan was beaten up for no reason? Anybody know about this?

Chris Rea, Don Revie, Brian Clough, Vic and Bob, Paul Daniels and our very own Keith Houchen. Gives me an idea of your ignorance.

You can see it’s orchestrated like Palace but yes it certainly created an atmosphere better than most you go to nowadays and more like a 70’s end.

Little bit too orchestrated for me. The one thing I like about Block 14/15 is that is consistently noisy, but it's still natural. Helps that we still have old school songs still unlike Palace/Middlesbrough which is very much the euro stuff.

What did surprise me was how silent the rest of the ground was no matter how loud behind the goal was.

It put me in mind of the Titanic quarter in Belfast, but without the money sank (pun intended) into it to regenerate the area.

Lots of lovely water, but a complete eyesore at the moment

They should apply for some EU regeneration grants.

Oh...

The Policing was disgusting. One bellend walked over having watched too much Danny Dyer and was welcomed back in as if he'd floored loads of lads, that encouraged another little chav, but this time he stood on the netting to throw something too and yet he also was allowed to walk back into his seat. There were families around including my daughter and wife, another lady with two young kids asked to be moved. The police filmed it of course and they might get an early morning knock, but swift and decisive throwing them out would've halted things. As it was allowing them to stay, wound up City fans and created a far more hostile atmosphere than was necessary. As for the idiots not watching the game it was very odd behaviour and most of them incredibly young and game, even if from a distance away, you know they'll be getting involved sooner than later.

In fact knowing we had to walk back through that side to get to where the car was, I'm not too disappointed we didn't get our usual late equaliser.

This.

It seems to be the same everywhere. Nip it in the bud and the problem will soon go away.

Some fat bloke came up to me and put his arm around me saying, don't worry son you got a 3 hour drive home now. Told him it was an hour to York and walked off. That will fucking teach him!

Many perhaps did and maybe I would on my own, but I enjoy traveling with my family, its an expensive hobby, but I'd rather that than go back to how it was.

Seems like a few more of our fans got punched in the subway on the way back to town. Personally didn’t see anything, just kept my mouth shut until we got back to the car. Complete lack of police down there to deter any idiots.

The young lad in black (who threw what looked like a lighter from where we were) went straight down the stairs followed by two coppers if that’s who you mean? They also threw one lad who looked like he was arguing with them out (looked like they literally frogmarched him down the stairs). Agree they let a lot go though. Just stood and watched as they crossed the closed off seats at one point.

Not sure which one it was, but the young one who stood on the netting and threw, went down the stairs, back up the other side and was fist pimped by the steward for being a good lad and going back.
