Take a point which keeps the gap and means one less game they can catch us but given the way we are scoring no reason we cant get all three points. Kitchen needs to wake up though and sort his shit out after yesterday

On a side note Charlton have sold out their initial allocation of 2000 so asked for more tickets.
Doug has given them a further 127
great to see the new seating plan giving priority to home fans

Can see a 5 3 2 being deployed to sure the defence sfter today's leaky show. If we get 3 points on Tuesday that would be absolutely massive!!

Not sure about five at the back - Wolfy not even on bench yesterday (do we know why), so unless you are using lati (who hasn't played for us for ages) or bidders.

Few rivals playing each other in the next week so a 4 point haul should see us maintain our lead points wise. Not easy, but we're more than capable.

Middlesbrough are having a barren time up front & their fans , though 2nd in the league , are showing no confidence in their players, with Whittaker being a scapegoat.
Another test of our mettle, but ultimately another 3 points & 2 or more goals to take us 10 points clear .

I would take a draw all day long here.

We have had quite the upper hand over them recently, but a point would be excellent. Another win would be absolutely fantastic.

I can dream, but I am thinking draw to be honest.

I see putting the kickoff time in the thread title lasted well.

Fear a loss: FL should consider something new on the left (KKH and/or Wright?). But suspect he won't. The more I think about it deffo 3 at back.

I think we will play it cagey like at Stoke and challenge Boro to come and get it.

Is Wright available by the way?

Side note: Without financial mismanagement and appalling managers buying and selecting crap players, supporting a football club can actually be quite dull.

Take a point. Think we get our second loss here. Mostly because I refuse to accept we’ll be ten points clear of second in November.

...oh, and Rudi to play. Eccles and Torp are just too similar (and not just the appearance thing I posted about elsewhere). I suspect BTA would have been better than Eccles yesterday

Not sure Rudi is ready for a start. I expect same team or possible BTA for Eccles

Rudoni to get 25 mins in second half

Although they are closest, their recent form is only mid-table and they aren't scoring many.

I predict we take advantage of their dip and bring home the points for a ten point gap.

0-2.

Dasilva could probably do with a rest given his recent workload but Bidwell (and apparently Brau) not up to it. Maybe KKH gets a go on the left.

Could see BTA coming in as well.

First and foremost DONT LOSE!

however, I think we’re good for the 3 points. They didn’t look great against Oxford. Whittaker looked a threat

Why would any one accept dropping 2 points?

It makes zero sense.

We are the best side in this division, we are going for automatic promotion, so why accept dropping points before the game has even kicked off? That is total fucking madness.

When we were 2-0 down yesterday im sure many would of taken a point. Thankfully Lampard wasnt one of them, so why are you so defeatist?

You make champions by having a champions mentality. All this "musnt lose" or "take a point" bollocks is the talk of losers and cowards.

Think like a winner if you want to be a winner.

A win at Boro puts us 10 points ahead of 2nd even if Stoke beat Charlton.

10 points clear of 2nd at this point and it takes some doing to not be in the automatic promotion come Jan.

There’s been a lot ‘take a draw’ games and had we taken it, our lead at the top would be less commanding.

It’s a tough December, Ipswich x2, Bristol City (H), PNE and Southampton away from home.

At the risk of being bludgeoned by Fatso, on the basis of the last few games, we are marginally better than the rest in what is a poor year where the parachute payment clubs are massively under-performing and there are no big city clubs like Leeds and Sunderland with large supporter bases. The lack of completion helps. Unsurprisingly the others keep beating one another - see PNE on Friday.

There’s a lot of teams in false positions. Hull, PNE, Stoke, Boro and Bristol are all a lot higher than they should be.

Teams like Ipswich, Southampton, Blues, Watford and Blackburn are all massively underperforming. Of all those teams, you’d expect Ipswich, Southampton and Blues to finish in the Top 6. Watford losing 4 players to AFCON will derail them imo and Blackburn’s home record is just too bad right now to mount a serious challenge. Over time, it evens itself out and after 46 games the xG table and actual table looks similar. Even when we were close to the relegation zone last season, being 2nd in the xG table suggested we could march up the table to finish in the Top 6.

We’ve been a lot better than the rest of the teams and so far been statistically dominant and only Ipswich are close.
