I suspect Robins would prefer a defender of some sort at left wing back when we are away to a strong team - maybe even Kitching again.
The change against Luton was in part driven by his booking and the score line at half time. I would love him to give Rudoni another go but suspect he won't. Torp has earned the start, but it seems harsh on Tats, who I thought was back to near his best before being subbed.

Yup. Kitching would be an odds on certainty to bag himself another yellow wouldn't he. Definitely part of Robins' thinking, I'm sure.

Harsh on tats I agree as thought he had a good half but feel Torp has earned himself a run out.

Also feel the same with Jack considering he got one of our assists and I think had a hand in the third (popping the ball in to simms).

Just tried to find Jacks defence stats but since he has played high this season, not much showing.

Just it depends how robins wants to play, Think Dasilva could get back in or Kitching if Robins wants a more defensive approach but would expect to see Jack in the role again maybe Derby?

Why does Rudoni get to be called by his first name but nobody else?

If we can go into the “Sunderland,Sheff U, Burnley run with points and confidence we could be back to exciting games and a few points that looked impossible for a while

I think we’d get slaughtered here if we try and play the team that finished the game on Saturday. When is Bidwell back?

Start the same team. We should have been winning at half time with that team. Bring Torp and Rudoni off the bench again.

So we have......

"We'll get slaughtered if we try and play the same team."

Followed immediately by ...

"Start the same team."

SBT at its best

People offering different opinions on a forum, hey? How dare they!!

If you want another one - I'm not sure he will want to play Rudi or Kitching at LWB as Bend Oak is their form player and he is rapid. Might well put Dasilva back in.

Like Trent he's prone to not noticing a left winger sneaking in behind him.

Agreed, tho I would be tempted to swap Binks and Kitching positionally.

The Norwich game ended 3-3 and Boro' had a similar story to our own game with Luton. Boro' went ahead against much of the play and then found themselves 2 up with a bitof fortune. Norwich played them off the par second half but ultimately ending 3-3. So not as convinced by Boro' entirely and we seem to play well on their pitch. It's an interesting one. IF we can replicate our performance against Luton with the defensive errors then we could come away with a win. On paper it's looks like a draw all day with slight favourites for a home win. It will all depend on us delivering another good performance. I hope we sneak it, but either way it will be a tight game.

Boro were coasting second half, the penalty save galvanised Norwich to grab a fortunate point.

As a stand alone game - its a decent away point and a good performance. But their fans are getting frustrated about them drawing/losing games they should win. They gifted Bristol City their first away win in ages a few weeks back and a lot of them seem this going the same way.

BUT their strikers have started scoring and for defence as bad as ours that is ominous and imho they are much better than Luton right now. It's a massive game for us. Lose and we are stuck down by the relegation zone and there is real pressure on the Derby game - win and things look rather interesting.

Same team that finished Saturday?
Can Torp last 90 minutes?
Can Rudoni defend?
Torp played well when he came on and scored a great goal. But there is a big difference between looking great over 20 minutes and starting. He needs to start and prove he can look good over 70-90 minutes?

I don't think he has ever played well when he has started a game? But there is only one way to find out, start him while his confidence is high.

We're missing this one as we're going up to Sunderland the following week. I think a draw on Saturday would be a great result.

Dovin
Lati Thomas Binks
MvE Eccles Torp Sheaf Rudoni
Wright Simms

Wilson*, Dasilva, Kitching, EMC, Sakamoto, Bassette, BTA, Tavares

Not sure how effective Rudoni might be long term at LWB as it won't have the surprise factor now, but probably worth sticking with as Dasilva is hardly a defensive rock.

Alo worried about Torp's stamina and whether it would be better to have him as an impact sub later on? But f he starts Sakamoto as a sub could be effective as well.

1-1.
