Going to this. Can't wait to take in some City action. Potential new home for us next season as well I'll report on the facilities.

TICKETS: Mickleover Sports fixture tonight

The Sky Blues’ pre-season campaign continues tonight with an away game against Mickleover Sports.

The squad for the game will largely be made up of Under 23s players, with most of the first-team next in action at this weekend’s matches versus Liverpool Under 23s and Nuneaton Town.

Tickets are available to buy on the gate tonight, with a 7:30pm kick-off in Derbyshire.

City – who are taking their first team squad – are expected to be significantly stronger than Derbyshire-based Evo Stik NPL Premier League side, although the non-leaguers beat Notts County 4-0 just over a week ago at the Don Amott Arena.

The fixture was arranged following City assistant manager Steve Taylor’s move from Mickleover – where he was also assistant – to Coventry in March.

Season starts for me today. Drinking in the nags head now, I don't live far away so it was an easy decision. Anyone making the trip?

Steadman, Finn (as alluded to) and Ponticelli the standout players in the team sheet, however JT (Jordan Thompson) and Reece Ford are very good looking CB's, Hickman will overlap all day long from wing back.

A bulk of this team being the U18's team from last season, which is very pleasing to see.

Absences in Moorhouse and Miles, got to think those two have been released if they haven't made tonight's squad.
