We now have 6 strikers, only 2 have actually ever scored a league goal

Might work well with beavon.

I think he might be eligable for Checkatrade but not fully checked.

What a pathetic signing. Not that it would matter who it was as we are down already in January!

Might be worth at least letting him play a game or 2 for us.

I admire your optimism but an 18 year old from a team who's U23's are six places below us in the same league isn't exactly inspiring. Same old rubbish. Andre Wright,Dan Agyei. They're all the same

Watford didn't have a side in the Checkatrade, so yep, he's available. Yipeee!!!

Adam Armstrong? Jacob Murphy (when he bothered)?

He may well be turd, but give the lad a chance at least.

Very hard to judge and 18 year old who has hardly played first team football. Lets hope this is an Armstrong style signing and he'll come in and bang 15 goals in.

The only thing is he carries none of the fear of relegation that the rest of the team are living with

Your Armstrongs and Murphy rarely come about. I'm afraid your Andre Wrights etc outnumber your Armstrongs 10 to 1.

Might work out good for us, but still don't get the point of signing other teams youngsters on loan when we have our own.

Could have just brought Jordan Ponticelli into the first team fold for a run of games. Bury did similar over the last month and it nearly worked for them.

But still think we're missing a creative midfielder, someone who will create chances for the forwards. Need to push Haynes further up as well, his defensive capabilities are not very good compared to his attacking. For that to happen we need Stokes back in.

He may well be, I'll watch him a couple of times to get an idea first though.

Turns out we missed out on Eoin Doyle so we were desperate and signed this kid. Stinks of the Hepburn Murphy situation last transfer window. Don't blame Doyle as he has more chance there of being in league one next season

Top scorer for their U18s last season when they won the league. Good enough to get on the pitch this month in the Prem. Decent signs.

Feel for the kid coming into this club though.

Didn't he go to a manager he knows?

I don't know. If he did I can't help but feel there was other reasons for him turning us down though

It's OK, something will be made up soon without any actual facts behind it to get the people going.

Got to say, I would like to see Pontichelli getting some game time.

He's on loan at Pompey, why would where they are next season matter? More likely they don't want to throw him into a relegation scrap.

Agree, half hoped at a Checkatrade from the bench for a bit even at 3-0 up or something.

True, probably why he tried then

Don't think he had much of a sniff at Cardiff did he?

Doyle said he signed for Chesterfield because he had worked with Cook at Sligo Rovers too So I'd guess it happened again.

Let's just see how he fucking does first shall we. I'll never understand slagging a player off before they've been given a chance. Essentially setting your stall out to want them to fail. Using 'I hope they prove me wrong' is a cop out too.

It's whether he works with Slades style that worries me if anything.

Watford didn't enter the Checkatrade so should be available.

Permanent deal might come from it. He probably won't play for Preston again

Got to be better than Jodi Jones at being a target man for the long ball though!

Ignore me. Somehow I thought he was 5"9, not 5"11. Time for bed I think.
