Apologies if it's already been posted but with everything else that's gone on over the weekend I think it's slipped under the radar.
Doyle made his 800th appearance yesterday, some achievement form our ex skipper.

Would happily welcome him back as a coach in the future. Definitely an iconic city player who will be remembered

Although will always be welcomed back by me (even though I was never his biggest fan I can admire he gave his all) whether I'd have him back as a coach would depend on how good a coach he turned out to be.

Didn't something happen before he left? I swear he fell out with some youth/younger players or something?

May have imagined it though.

Better days posted that Doyle and Viveash didn’t get on at all. I can’t imagine their footballing principles match

Makes sense him moving on when he did then. Listened to the Nii Lampty podcast with marc mcnulty and not that it's any surprise, but hammered the point home how influential he is in the dressing room. Also said that viveash is arguably more involved in day to day tactics and training than Robins, so if the two weren't aligned it makes sense

I listened to that Nii Lamptey podcast too. Having heard what mcnulty (and bayliss previously) said about Doyle, I honestly don’t think we would have made the playoffs without him. I know he’s no Kevin de bruyne, but it sounds like his presence - both on and off the field - was invaluable. I don’t think that team had the same degree of fight and resilience the current squad have got.

I'd heard that he wasn't very forgiving of some of the team wanting to try out new things during training matches: from their perspective they wanted to learn about what they could do, from Doyler's perspective they weren't taking training matches seriously enough. Biamou was mentioned. Only passing on what's been said, could be wide of the mark of course.

Some achievement that and fair play to him.
Thought he was punching above his weight when he was the mainstay of our Championship midfield for so long and was delighted when he finally left.
Wasn’t really sure about him coming back but it turned out to be a masterstroke and without him we wouldn’t have made it over the line and for that I will always remember him.

This pretty much sums up how I feel about him. A good servant to the club.
