Would give us the ballwinner we're lacking. Connor can do it but his positioning and know-how are lacking;something Brown has in spades. Makes you wonder if we may as well have just kept Doyle. I really hate Brown..but then, I hated Wise before we signed him. Hmmm...

So where will he slot into our formation and for who?

Good point. Can't see Thorn will drop Clingan and he can't drop Bigi as he looks our best player at times and Thomas was outstanding today. Don't know where he would fit in.

He'll come in as one of the 'two' in the diamond, with Biggie, Thomas and Deegan fighting for the other spot.

I thought Thomas was superb today.

If he comes in I would think Clingan will be going out in the window, he isn't going to sign a new contract is he, he'll be able to get better terms elsewhere.

I wouldn't - one he didn't look comfortable when he got into advance positions and two the man at the tip has to make forward runs into the box and not get dragged back into midfield - Sheff occupied this space really well today.

a desperation move by our inept owners, whilst he is a determined player, it does nothing to disguise the 'dire straights' we are in,
brought about by utter ineptitude of business dealings,
sleep well 'kd' i'm sure someone thinks you are, mmmmmmmmmm
no, i can't think of anything suitable,
OXYGEN STEALERS,
give us back our club,

I think this will be a cracking signing, an experienced midfielder in the middle of the park is what we need.

I think Brown will be a cracking signing.

Gets stuck in, ball winning midfielder.

Exactly what we need.

Is the deadline Thursday? If so, this is Cov all over. I can imagine the same old excuses Friday morning in the telegraph.

Yep. Deadline on Thursday.

Deadline will be 12 midnight and we as a club will be totally stunned as we will have thought it was 5 past midnight and will have been just a few minutes too late.

5 goals in 6 years for us would probably make him 2nd joint top scorer.

2 things - he played for Sheff Utd, not Wednesday! Other thing is, he's a battler (that's putting it nicely), doesn't really carry the ball or push forward. That's why not many goals. I don't really get why we'd be looking to bring him in, or any defensive players to be honest. Ok, we're looking susceptible to mistakes in every game but the position we're in at the moment we've really got to forget about that and push forward to get goals. Goals win games and boy do we need to win games.

Surely the idea is to play him in DM and allow Clingan to play further forward. He is our best passer and has potential to be most creative out of any of our players.
