Personally I'm gutted they sacked Phil Neville and denied us the chance to see him trying to manage Messi, although maybe that was at Messi's request. Kudos for turning down £350m/year to play in Saudi but it sounds like his pockets will be well lined with the input of Apple (share of the MLS season pass revenue from new subscribers) and Adidas (share of their profit increase caused by him going there).

Kudos for not joining SA, however, joining MLS at 35 or whatever he is is also pretty tragic. Why would he not want to play a season in the Premier League or even French or Italian leagues first? Then he'd have a chance to get more Champs league goals and possibly trophies.

Find it a bit mad. He's gone over too soon.
