That's not deception...it is putting the ball where the keeper cannot get to stop it. A 1 on 1 with the keeper may involve a bit of trickery...I'll grant you thatIsn't deceiving the goalkeeper the entire point of scoring a goal?
You get what I'm saying and rules change,think of our donkey kick, it was smart but then outlawed,for, ungentlemanly conduct I think.
It is currently legal to score a penalty that way, I'd rather they changed it.

Will we sit there sniggering and saying fair play, that's a wicked rule. That was so skillful.
Before the witty retorts fly in, we're going up auto's, the GK is shit at pens anyway and wouldn't save it, or the opposite etc etc.

Nah...most keepers move before the ball is kicked on penalties...their deception is therefore their ownSend the keeper the wrong way and you've deceived him, same with a free-kick routine or just dummying a man, a lot of football is deception at its very core. You'd expect most people to not fart around and just shoot because you rarely get a better opportunity, but outside of encroachment I don't have a problem with it.
...and just to complete this thread; Suarez missed his 'conventionally' taken pen v Sporting Gijon this evening.
Good save by the keeper down to his right. Though he did move a bit early, the disrespectful b@$t/\rd...
