Supporting would be 'not' going to Sixfields in this case.
It just delayed the return and gave Sisu a false hope that more would follow.

In which case supporting CCFC would mean not going to Wasps.

Make your mind up.

I don't get that Monners, why give a shit what anyone says on here?

If people agree or disagree I couldn't really give a fuck, I still support CCFC and will go when I can, regardless of Sky Blues Talk.

I am not a super fan, I am not a shit fan, I don't go to many games due to kids sport but would like to, everyone has there own reasons, but wouldn't let anyone on here change my mind. Sad to hear that's the case with you.

The analysis of average attendances at the club will be what is viewed by "investors" and assessing "potential"

It throws up some interesting facts:

What does relegation to to attendances? - The club will have a steep decline. The decline was 28% when the club fell into League One. Is this a Sisu impact? No not really. The decline was 24% in the season the club fell out the Premier League.

A lot is made of the fact we have "potential" as when the club moved to the Ricoh we had average attendances of 20,000 plus and only Sisu have caused a decline. Not really.

The last season at H Road attendances averaged 16,000. The first season at the Ricoh the average was 21,180

Next season before Sisu we saw a (4%) decline
Following season when Sisu took over (and there was no negativity then) the drop was (6%)
Over the next three seasons the declines varied but averaged (5%) per season
So in the end we were back to 16,000 - the new stadium impact had eroded in 6 seasons

Success will see increases (new ground impact can be classed as success of sorts) but then the averages fall back again. When the club won the Cup gates rose by 39% but despite 3 successive seasons in the top 10 (including a 7th) gates then remained static and as soon as the club finished 12 four seasons later we saw a (20%) decline in attendances

As for needing a 25,000 stadium we haven't had an average of 25,000 since 1971 and the highest is 23,000 in 1978. So why would a company want to build something we will rarely fill?

The notion that anyone "supports" Sisu is just abject nonsense. Why would anyone support an anonymous Hedge Fund - its an absurd notion.

The issue is that a large percentage of people do not see any evidence they are going anywhere. No protest is proving in the slightest bit effective. The stats I have shown above indicate that actually their impact as owners per se is irrelevant. Trends are similar before and after
When I was a student there was this obsession with people protesting against Barclays Bank for funding S Africa and apartheid. So were the protesters trying to stop apartheid or the Bank. What was the point?

Some fans believe Sisu will stay until they want to leave. Yes new owners are needed and yes if there are any around should be encouraged. Mediation of parties is needed.

However just because people don't snarl, swear, make jokes about Seppella have male genitals, wishing Fisher dead doesn't mean they son't support the club and it certainly doesn't mean anyone supports sisu

No one does.

Bit of Deflecting and a bit of trolling. he loves to derail a thread, always if the main theme of the thread is a criticism of the manner in which our owners choose to run our club.
Peeler is his equivalent everytime a thread attacking Wasps appears.
Peeler gets very criticised for his actions.

Lol says the biggest troll on the forum who starts threads about being proud of the council, proud of ACL, goes deafiningly silent when match day comes around and post overdrive when the council and the telegraph are under attack,

It's odd isn't it other posters have remarked "you hate CCFC" why would they say that do you think - why is that something i have never been accused of?

It maybe just me but I can't understand how anyone can hate one hedge fund for ripping a club from it's community and transplanting it miles away while supporting another one that has done the same thing. I find the hypocrisy staggering.
Just because one has done it more successfully than the other doesn't give them some sort of kudos IMHO.

Because you are unlikely to accuse yourself of such a thing and you are the only one who comes out with such crap.

Anyway back to the OP's point in the thread I am sure you would love to discuss how badly our owners are managing our club and why for that reason we are not having the success Sheff Utd are currently experiencing.

So what they are experiencing has nothing to do with the fact that despite having spent 6 years in the league they have had on average £2.5 million a season more in ticket sales?

That is irrelevant?

They've always owned their own ground - irrelevant?

Also he says the players are lowly paid and are monkeys? Some fans claim most of these players are capable so again the point is moot is it not?

I genuinely don't believe we would attract anything like that support after 6 successive seasons in this league - whoever owned the club.

Why that has anything to do with Sisu, loving Sisu, blaming fans I do not know. Its nothing to do with that in my view but just an observation. They have bigger resources built on a strong very consistent fanbase. We may get some new fans under different owners but 13,000 a game? Come off it

regarding the fans attendance last night, i find its a tricky one. Im a season ticket holder but just cant get to midweek games, so i never would have gone even if we were flying high at the top of the league. As for the wembley day trippers, who can begrudge them and their mates a day out a wembley, anyone who thinks all of a sudden we are going to get massive turnout is diluded. Maybe with new owners, good run of form etc we can attract back some new fans... the way i see it fair play to everyone who went up last night... fair play to those who still go to games and have been going to games... and fair play to those who think enough is enough...

The facts Grendel has laid out speak for themselves. We're not a well supported club by any measure, there are excuses that may cover post 2007. It doesn't really cover the 30 year trend of generally declining attendances before that.

Watched the Hull v Middlesbrough highlights last night and the had 20000 there and it looked packed still 5000 off capacity and closer to the pitch, the Ricoh design for football is awful. Teams like Watford, Burnley Palace, WBA, Swansea and Hull all with capacities around 20000 to 24000 seem to do ok.
If we we do ever build a new FOOTBALL GROUND not an arena style bowl a capacity around 23000 would be ample.
A bit like the last 10 seasons at HR in the premier league when we could not muster up any more than 19000 home fans as the away capacity was 3800
.

It doesn't matter what the averages are it's that you have a stadium to suit your needs, The Ricoh was always to big and over the top for us. It doesn't stop you from being succesfull with a smaller stadium, Huddersfield had a great season averaging around 20000 and good luck to them, the prem and championship not all about having 32000 plus stadiums

I use to watch Hull at Boothferry Park, they had averages of 4k-6k attendances for years, some investment and bringing a community together later,. look at them now. We're a bigger club historically than them, the only thing stopping us becoming them again is SISU.

A club with a similar following to us and a city with an almost exact population which is why there stadium is perfect.
Our average attendances next year could well be 4K-6k
