Looks like the money is going directly to Just Sport when checking the bank statement. I assume they will then be sending a % over to the club?

Anybody know how it works?

I should imagine that Just Sport pick up the sale and the direct/operating costs and pay CCFC the commission on the sale. Operating the shop as a CCFC retail franchise.

Curious as to which figure if above correct ..... the sale or the commission ...... counts in the SCMP calculation

Hopefully they can book the whole sale and then also book just sport costs too...same net difference.

I'll get it in first

"As that the level we're at? Using the same franchise as Southend and Orient? Bloody depressing"

I can see how it is better for the fans compared to what we are used to. It is vital to Just Sport to have the best range of stuff possible and make it as easy as possible to buy it so they make money. Compared to what we had merchandise last year it is a dream.

Just wondered how it worked financially.

Assuming it works fairly similarly to merchandise deals in the music industry then it will be one of two options. Either Just Sports will have paid the club and set fee and will keep all the money.

Or they will be paid the club a percentage - the idea being that with less costs the club will make as much if not more and due to economy of scale there's also room for Just Sports to make money.

Or a combination of the two, a fixed fee plus a percentage when the revenue goes over a total amount.

So does the shop stock generic 'Just Sport' merchandise as well as custom CCFC stuff?

Couldn't see anything, pretty much everything is ccfc branded.

It would be nice to think the club get the difference between the generic product and the badged one but I doubt they do.

What is the generic product (is there one without A&A?) because I haven't seen one anywhere. Also what time does the shop at the Arena stay open until?

Sorry was thinking more of the standard merchandise.

Surely it's percentage based; hope the club are getting a decent amount out of the deal.
