Is woeful, every appearance he has had this season, he has failed to produce the goods, not good enough and should not be in the 18!

He is living on his local boy status and that is why some people want him anywhere near the team!

It is his selfishness on the pitch which really annoys me

Not sure if many other people saw but in the first few minutes Sheffers was tracking back defensively and even put in a good tackle and shielded a ball for a goal kick. I thought Robbins had worked a miracle and Sheffers had been transformed into a good footballer again little did i know that was the end of his contribution as i can't remember anything positive after that. Think he deserves a few chances up front to see if he can get his shooting boots back and it not then send him off in Jan

People are still calling for him to be made captain. It's ridiculous.

I agree. Is this his last year on a contract with us? If so I can see him not finding another club. He has lost all his pace and seems 5 years older than he is.

Get rid. We have too.

It's that clear cut. He's showing nothing at all at the moment. He has played in the Premier. This is League One. He should shine.

When you look at Cadamarteri it was clear from his touch and positioning that he had played at a much higher level. Sheff hardly looks good enough for League Two and anyone seeing him play for the first time would have no idea of his supposed quality..

He is one player that I've never liked! Couldn't stand him the first time around - before we off-loaded him to the Blue-noses. Then when we took him back, my heart sank. I just knew he was useless! I've been proved right.

Hate him with a passion! Annoys me that's fans haven't disliked him before now! Especially ones who go away and insist on singing that bloody song for him!

Never mind chaps, after another poor display today, first out wide and then up front, hopefully it will be the dullards last outing for us.
Can't see him pulling the wool over Robins eyes, he was a striker so knows the score, also said he wants players to put a shift in - can't see him ever doing that either.

I had really high hopes for him this season.

I think he has been given too much criticism over the last couple of seasons, he scored some important goals from midfield, was our top scorer last season even. And we'd probably have been relegated the year before without his goals.

So I was expecting someone who could score 9 from midfield in the Championship to score plenty in L1, but it's just not happening at all. Maybe once we improve as a team, we will see better indiidual performances from the likes of Mcsheffrey

It annoyed me when we had that chance in the first half where i think baker put it across the box, it was just slightly behind mcgoldrick and mcsheffrey ran in and nailed it wide when he could have whacked it across the 6 yard line which would have been a goal pretty much.

Very poor from McSheffrey he looks like a worse player in League 1 then last year in the Championship. Cannot run or take anybody on with the ball he just looks heavy and tired all the time when 5 or 6 years ago he was flying down that left wing scaring the opposition defence to death. Last chance saloon would be to give him a chance upfront, its been clear for a while he hasn't got the legs for midfield anymore. Baker is by far the better player right now, looks far more dangerous on the ball and an actual threat.

On the radio on the way up to the ground they were saying he was going to play up front and I was hopeful Robins had seen something in training and made a switch but as usual they got it wrong and he was back doing his his usual crap on the left. Robins obviously wants to play with width and as he went with 4 across the middle I expect Moussa to play there next game and things will look much better.

Yes mcsheffrey had a poor game yesturday BUT he still almost scored twice and created one

That's the thing we are desperate for goals in this league, we need as many players on the pitch who might score or create a goal as possible. However bad he's playing he still is ten times more likely than baker bell And co to score a goal so that's why I think he should be play.

i hear what you are saying however we have had far too many players in our squad who (might, almost) score goals like you say unfortunately these don't win games i would rather a player who can score goals and wants to score goals

He hasn't had a run in the team and is expected to be up and running immediately! training dosen't make you match fit, please give the man a chance, he did some good things as well as bad yesterday, booing or shouting won't help will it, encouragement is needed.

Atleast we had a bit of width yesterday and he linked with McGoldrick, better than Hussey running down the wing to no-where!!!

THE SEASON END IN MAY - NOT SEPTEMBER

The chances he had should have been put away. He may not have been playing as a striker at the time of getting them but he was in a strikers position......and missed.

The first one he hardly missed he was inches away from getting a touch, you might say that cus he's too slow but the keeper was millimetres away from having a touch if he had he would then have been in perfect place.

The one he put in side netting he shiuldn't really have shot as the ball was practically on the line there was no angle for it.

Not excusing his general wasteful passing and poor touch, but just saying every time he plays I think our chances of scoring increases compared with who else we play in his place. Look at mcindoe before him played nearly every week one year and never scored.

He looked really rusty yesterday, but at least he seemed to understand McGoldrick's movement. When McGoldrick drifted wide and dragged defenders away, McSheff made some good diagonal runs into the space created and almost scored from one of them.

Trouble was he just looked so poor on the ball.

Point taken.

But, the training ground is where you EARN your starting XI spot, if you're on the bench, when you get brought on is where you stake a claim to be in the next XI!

McSheffrey, simply hasn't staked a claim to be in the starting XI, when he has started e.g. Burton + yesterday, he has been shit! Fact.

Him as captain would be a bad move! He has way too big an ego and he thinks he's better than us!

He is an experienced player of supposed high quality. Also he has had a full pre-season behind him.

His quality should stand out. It doesn't. He looks as if even this league is too good for him. I can't see him even getting a league team next season.

He has to be one of the biggest earners at the club bit his play and more importantly his demeanour suggest that of a novice.

Without the coventry connection he would have been derided a long time ago. He either starts to show appetite for the fight or he should be put in the reserve training squad and told to find another club.

I think after yesterday and comments from Robins about players not being able to change being moved on that Macca will be on the move soon enough. Moussa in the next game and he's got real pace and ability. He is a quality addition and I'm expecting an immediate impact.

When he re-signed for us it was obvious he had lost his pace, yet he still scored and provided assists against better teams than we have faced so far. He should do the same in this league and tbf to him he hasn't had a decent run in the team.

Mcsheffrey is far worse than Hussey. Mcsheffrey goes hiding in games. Is always off the pace and often makes the wrong decisions (aka being greedy) when does turn up in a good spot. Even worse is he has experience at premier league level and is from coventry. He should be one of the players who are inspiring and trying to pull team forward. Hussey is less experienced and also suffers due to the fact that nobody seems to be able to understand the need to drop in and cover when he gets forward. Hussey does offer some positives whereas mcsheffrey let's down timne after time and wasted another chance yest.

Hope you're right, never seen Moussa but he sounds like a good signing and he could add a new dimension to our team, I haven't bothered looking at how good he is on youtbe because they're 'highlights' and he might go on a dazzling run on the clip but that game, he could've got skinned or made a mistake leading to a goal, rather see him play for real before judging.

He is low on confidence, but why isn't he playing as well as the other players 'low on confidence'!?

He wasn't that good even last season! Sorry, make that since he got injured at brum!
