Eastwood damaged his hamstring during the 3-0 home defeat to Norwich last weekend and now faces weeks on the sidelines.

McSheffrey said,

“That was a blow because we need everybody we’ve got at the moment and the result was a little bit demoralising, We were playing OK but the goals we conceded weren’t great and in the end it wasn’t a very nice defeat."

“Norwich are a good side who move the ball around very well and they used 20-odd players while a lot of us were having our second 90 minutes in three or four days, but we worked hard to the end so that goes into the fitness bank and it’s all part of the learning curve."

"We know what we’ve got to do on the training pitch to sharpen up and raise our game and hopefully we won’t concede a goal in the first minute against Leicester! We’ve got a tough couple of weeks coming up at the start of the season but we’ve got to be positive and I’m sure we’ll be all right.”

McSheffrey also explained the off field financial problems is not affecting the team at all.
“We obviously want stability and we all want to be part of a good tight club that’s going in the right direction, but we try to keep it out of our minds at the training ground and so far hasn’t affected anybody.”

From the reports I have read about the friendlies it didnt seem that Freddy had exactly set the world alight so not sure how much the team will actually miss him. Lots of talent but poor application

That's how you can sum up his entire time at Cov, talented player but rarely shows it and rarely puts a decent shift in.

But when he does, he scores three! Bewildered!
