To be fair... Thorn's hands are tied and he can't do much. All we need to a creative player and a goalscorer. We will be a pretty decent side with just a couple of additions.

Couldn't watch/listen today, but it sounds like it's got to be this against Palace:

Murphy
Christie Keogh Cranie Hussey
Clingan
Bigirimana Thomas
Ruffles
Juke Jeffers

I don't care how ready they are, they've done more to earn their place than those dropped from that team.

My son is 17, plays for a local team, very very good (at his level) and he, along with loads of others would play their hearts out for Coventry, perhaps Thorne should be looking around for decent players who've never had the chance, after all can somebody untried do worse? At least they'd be trying.....(Bobby Gould team of the early 80's springs to mind)

Yes, they could do a lot, lot worse.

Effort isn't the problem, it's just an easy way to explain away another defeat.

I must say that I agreeboth Bell & sheffers have been awful so far this season, but I just don't see what we can do other than keep playing them because we just havn't got anyone to bring in.

How are these 2 picking up a wage as footballers? They are both a disgrace. McSheffrey was awful again and neither of them should have bothered turning up.

It summed it up before the game when the brummy was asked if he was worried about mcsheffrey and he had a chuckle and said no...

There is no competition for their places so these clowns can just turn up and get a game and not even bother trying.

Agreed! We are down to the bare bones. No money no players! Surely this is having an effect on the players?
Your fuckin naive if you think it's not.

People have been talking about how young players don't know what to do when they go behind. But after birmingham scored, Bigi was the only player for us who looked like he was still playing a football match. Big credit to the lad, and proof that we shouldn't be affraid to kick out the pair of fattys for you promising young lads.

I mean come on, Liverpool wouldn't have been interested in Connor Thomas without a reason...

I am in no way a fan of Sheffs but I actually thought he played a bit better today - Bell was anonymous and a positive liability. So far we have conceded two league goals this season and in my book Bell has been to blame for both - against Fester he lost his man on the free kick and today he watched in admiration rather than close down Ridgewell (I think) who's cross was perfect for Rooney.
I am a bit puzzled by the OTT praise for Bigi today - he did ok but didn't actually create anything. He did put in one brilliant tackle and is growing into the role and for a 17 year old he did ok but please lets not go over the top about him. Let him grow into the role without too much pressure. Clingan was outstanding and I am sure Bigi will learn a lot from him (for as long as Clingan is still with us).

So next game we should have Thomas, Clinigan and Bigi plus someone in midfield

Upfront Juke and Jason Donovon?

I watched the game online and thought Sheffers played much better, got more balls into the box. No defense for Bell though. Overall far more promising

They were just poor, there was no pride or passion in either performance. Haven't ever really rated Bell and Sheff's has been poor for a while. Bell never does anything of significance to change the game and make you think "wow he's got something" or "he's really read the game" rarely does he take anyone on or even win the ball. Like someone said on the radio, was he booked to show he turned up! Sheffs is slow, leaves his and an is usually caught offside. It's just not good enough but with our current problems there really isn't much Thorny can do but give them a bollocking

This has to be the way to go, might buck up Bell/McSheffreys ideas- for them to realise they are not unstoppable. Plus the youngsters will almost certainly give their all.

Maybe worth Carsley coming in next game?

he certainly wouldn't allow for any passengers in his team.

Bell has took the club for mugs once again. He plays a couple of half decent games ,and they were in friendlies, just when his contract is nearing its end,and hey presto a contract extension is offered.
I can't even think of a word to describe his performance, how can the man collect his wage, has he no concience,he is an absolute disgrace if thats all the effort he can put in.Shame on him,Shame on him.
I can not see what Thorn can possibly see in him,he goes nowhere except backwards, and runs around like he's shit himself.GET HIM OUT THE CLUB NOW.
If Thorn can look us the supporters in the eyes and say he saw positives in that performance then i will swim the Atlantic doing the butterfly.
Keogh can only pass sidewards and backwards, every time he runs forward with the ball then he cuts back in ,then passes it sidewards, come on is'nt there someone better than him somewhere in the conference or below we can afford.
Our only hope now is if Hoffmann like us has had enough, and to tell his investers to do it now or forget it ,and if they don't move now tell them to go away and let us slide nice and quietly in to league 1.
I am sooo Pissed off again ,and my greatest fear will happen if Hoff does'nt get these retards out we will be playing Barnet & Hereford very soon

Is this the McSheffrey who nearly scored today? That disgrace?

Both ordinary, neither playing well. However, we're a VERY small squad. We need them right now and the last thing we can afford to do is have them sulking because the fans are on their back. Bell has a signed a new contract. I wouldn't have give him one, but he's here to stay so please get used to it, get behind them and don't let them become the new hate figures or scape-goats for all that is wrong with CCFC.

So he played well because he had a shot on target?

No, but he's not a "disgrace" either and neither is Bell. You would think that these players go out to play poorly, I'm sure they don't, all players have loss of form and just because they haven't set the world alight so far this season doesn't mean they won;t turn their form around.

And as for the shot, well it's nice that someone in the team had one.

Seeing as you have never been right once, I won't hold my breath on them turning their form around, especially as Bell's form now is pretty much what it has been since he started with us.

The only "blips" in his form have been the occasional good game, amongst the stunning mediocrity of his general performances.

Wouldn't call them a disgrace but I was frustrated and disappointed with Sheffers today. Looked unfit, lacked energy and had no pace, easily pushed off the ball in possession. Made some good passes but we need someone who can run at defenders.

If only you had something to be smug about.

Where are the other two monkeys of the Non-Apocalypse nowadays?

Do you still meet up to confer on how great a manager Coleman is, how great a chairman Ranson is and how great Sisu are in your alternative world?

What I dont get is how McSheff is unfit and overweight. I dont think he is, in pre season there was a pic of him when they went abroad and he was ripped so deffo not overweight.

RR? Yep, I'd have him back in charge of the Club tomorrow if I could. And I bet so would all the other muppets (such as yourself) who constantly slagged him off. Still, I'm sure you'd rather have Cuddly Ken.

Why would you have RR back in charge in club of the club? Honestly?

He didn't do a very good job of running it which is why he was removed in the first place.

For a so called "football man", he managed to appoint two of the most anti-football managers we've ever had, presided over a club, that it appears increased it's losses whilst eroding it's fan-base, and never knowingly told the truth.

He was the man who found and got into bed with Sisu, so either he knew what they were like and therefore has no recourse to complain when act to type, or he didn't know what they were like and therefore showed a huge lack of judgement and lack of research.

He tried to take over Southampton with the backing of SISU(How stupid they were and how lucky we were seemed to be the consensus when they turned them down), also failed in bids for Aston Villa and Manchester City(Don't know who the backers were for those).

He has certainly got the Reverse Midas touch for clubs:

Turn him down and not touch with a bargepole = Billionaire owner will turn up.

Welcome him with open arms = Increasingly poor owners and football.

As for Ken, another Sisu puppet, and have no trust for Hoffman yet, all smoke and mirrors at the moment, though of course he is with Teflon Joe which makes it alright, as he's never been associated with any tainted regime at the club in the past.

About time you went for re-programming.
