Good luck. At least he's only on loan so if he's shite we are not lumbered.
Duffer - how dare you discount our very own cup final winning captain
Ah - he didn't have a beard then though, did he? Look at how his career fell as his facial hair increased. It's linear, I tell you.
It works in reverse too. Didn't Garry Birtles stop scoring when he grew a beard?
cf also George Best, and Jim Morrison. It always flags the beginning of the end, facial hair.
What was McGoldricks' record before he joined us?
With regards to discussing football, or any other issues on here, always go for the view which is the opposite of the majority. You're guaranteed to be not far off the mark.
he has just been on CWR
"key is that manager wants me.
Hopefully get some game time.
Few injuries held me back last season.
Danny Swanson has been saying good things.
Number 9 was one of the only ones left, so I took it.
Last season I played a lot in midfield, my main role is striker"

McQuoid, "Main role is a striker, I can do a bit of everything"

Have to take into account that a significant amount of his appearances were on the wing

True, McGoldrick also played midfield at first (though not as much). You also have to take into account 12 of McQuiod's goals were scored in one season, 5 of them in his first five games as a striker and 6 in two back to back hatricks. It took him 4 seasons to score 1 goal before that and 4 seasons to score 2 after it. His next most prolific season was 5 in 39 for Bournemouth in their promotion season.
I'm not slating the guy, but those are his stats. I hope he does well, from what I can tell he's a better winger than a striker, but who knows maybe he just needs a certain type of service/partner and we have it.

In his last 35 appearances for Forest he scored 3 goals -- hence being dubbed David McGoaldrought.
