What's the deal with McPake? I think he signed a new contract this season, so when does his contract with us expire?

How likely is it that he will return to us, considering a) Hibs have no money to pay for a transfer and b) we have nobody to replace him really.

If he can stay fit then him and Wood will be a real asset as our CB partnership, with Cameron and Herman in reserve.

Expires next summer. Follow Hibs closely and I'd say if they stay up they will try and get him permanently with a swap more likely than a cash offer. If they go down, interest from other SPL clubs is likely to be high and I see that as his preferred option.

I would say he won't come back cos AT didn't seem too enamoured with him when he said he wanted first team football.

Get the feeling he burned all his bridges.

Hermann is surely leaving? I hope so anyway, as i imagine his wages are not a pretty sight

Won't Herman be 39 next season? There's no way we should renew his contract.

struggled with fitness and injuries here, barely missed a game for hibs. i think the only games hes missed were due to a red card

Well just shows what happens when you get to play a run of games, you get match fit and can overcome niggles to keep playing regularly.

As for Herman, we will need some experience next year. He looked the part when he did play for us, and so should be OK in L1.

His contract expires 2013, would like to see a fully fit Mcpake back here next season.

I agree we need some experience CJ but we need it on the pitch not on the bench. He's too old and will probably be a high earner - we shouldnt waste big wages on someone who'll be second or third choice.

We need a couple of strong league one players 28-32 year olds who know the league.

Herman on a pay as you play might be an idea.

Indeed. Probably only cost us a pound.

Any decent players we could swap him for? Not that SISU would dare to sign a decent player mind!

Garry O'Connor (ex Brum) has scored the majority of their goals this season and would do well in League One. The advantage we have with players at clubs like Hibs is the wages on offer are essentially on a par with what we pay our players at the moment-they wouldn't be beyond SISU's budget. McPake has been an absolute revelation since joining and others will want him if Hibs don't survive.

On loan from Wolves who were desperate to offload him for nothing in January-and with good reason. Terrible striker who I would put on a par with ROD with a worse attitude.

fair enough, I will take your word on it, he is 5 years younger than ROD and has 11 in 28 this season and a career record of 64 in 140 all for teams in Scotland.

Scored most of his goals in the lower leagues of Scottish football if I'm right which is what attracted Wolves, where he was well out of his depth. Just very poor in front of goal and I think Scotland is where he's better off staying.

He's also small and slight, would get bullied in league one.

Agreed stupot-as I say, he's essentially ROD Mk II but with a worse attitude.

Which was when? 15 games a few years ago doesn't reflect how he would perform now.

he's been back training down here with Pompey apparently. not sure if that's cos he lives locally or he's hoping for a new contract with them.

Haha as would I! Sadly they're about as willing to let him go as we are Cody (can't believe I'm saying that)
