Sky Blue In Dorset,

James McPake:

Livingstone Career:

03/04 - 1 game
04/05 - 15
05/06 - 15
06/07 - 33
07/08 - 19
08/09 - 18

Total - 101 games in 6 seasons for Livingstone !!!
Average per season - 17

CCFC

08/09 - 4 games
09/10 - 17 games
10/11 - 0 games

I think its pretty conclusive that our James has a very serious fitness problem - don't you agree???

He wasn't necessarily first choice in those first 3 seasons at Livingstone, hence not necessarily injured for those. The final Livingstone season ended in January when we signed him, so he was fit for that too up to then. That means he was injured for around half of the previous Scottish season-so one bad knock before we signed him. Since then, his record has been much worse-but his Livingstone stats, taken out of context, betray the "damn lies..." cliché!

NLHWC,

I agree stats can be manipulated/massaged/misrepresented et al but whatever twist you put on it JM did not play a lot of first team football for Livingstone over a representative number of seasons.

I would accept a season or two blips but his record shows a remarkable level of consistency for not playing more than 50% of available league games.

Not knocking the lad at all as I rate James as one of the best centre backs we have had since Roy Barry, another tough as teak character, and I do hope he can get over his current injury problems and start playing regularly for CCFC.

yer, but he broke his back for us

Just like Dion broke his neck for Villa

If we are going down that route, then there is only one winner, Marc Vivien Foe, who was so committed to Cameroon, that he died on the pitch..

Personally I think someone's death is not to be joked about. Breaking your back/neck and recovering ok but someone dying nope. That's a bit far imo.
