These players are not heartbreakers, we wont really miss them or be significantly weaker for it....it's just the fact we can not bring anyone in at the moment that is depressing me. We need this embargo lifted and then we can see the real intent from SISU, if nothing happens i will panick then. I know they are shitheads, but surely to God they realise we must buy someone at least!! So i am semi confident we will trade soon!!! please?

It's a minor miracle of we can get O'donovan off the payroll.

Does anybody know how many players we have left in the squad who have played a first team game once these two go? We must be close to single figures now.

Not gonna miss ROD in any way. The guy has to be the worst player we've had in a long while. Starting to worry about centre backs though.

Yes as the question was who has played a first team game - It's 16 if you take out the one gamers.

Will the last experienced footballer to leave please turn off the lights.

We might as well not have a youth team/academy next season as it will be indistinguishable from the 1st team. We are becoming a total joke.

Roy O'Donnovan is a waste of space. He couldn't hit a barn door with a blow dart. When Marlon left, he scored 1 goal against Nuneaton in a friendly game, and said he was going it be the next Marlon King. And what happened? He F***ed up.. again! I'm glad to see the back of him. McPake will be a big loss. We're running low on decent Defenders with the imminent departure of Cranie and Keogh. Now he's got his fitness up, he could be a key player for us next season, so why let him go for 100K? I have to question the club's judgement on this one.

I can see it now Thorn and Harrison turn up for pre season at the training ground and all they see is tumbleweed blowing across the pitch in front of a small bunch of kids playing in the background, 'There you go Andy I'm sure you can work with that' says Fisher.

I'm very worried at this news, if Keogh and Craine inevitably leave too then we're screwed even more, us fans don't deserve this, do they not reckon we've been through enough already? when will this shite end?.

no players left !!! its all a plan to save on groundsmen costs, so we do not have to keep re-turfing the pitch :facepalm:another saving to add to the list !!!

If both go, that means we will only be losing 500k a month

As opposed to the 500k a month we are currently losing

Oh, and the 500k a month we were losing when we had a squad twice as big !

hhmmm £500k a month,,,,,,,,,,,

actually...
if the average gate is 14000, @say £20 a head, 24 games a year is £560k a month!
So they are saying their losses are 200% of the GATE income..... that's not very good SISU

YOU'RE FIRED!... imp:

Obviously when we are under a transfer embargo :thinking about:

That said I do think we will sign some players, however not nearly enough. I see maybe 4 signings which will be nowhere near enough to finish in the top half, never mind a promotion push.

And it's not just the number, or the quality of them, it's when. We've seen last-minute signings in the past who've missed a preseason..we all know how that works out

Now he's fit, I completely agree. But he wants to go home, and Hibs don't have much money. Neither does anyone else in Scotland! 100k is probably Hibs transfer budget for next season.

I can't agree with you on this, OSB. I think that we will need McPake next season. But I'm sure that we will let him go if Hibs offer more than a fiver for him.

I am gutted about mcpake no question we need him. His wages do not count towards ffp. However he did spit his dummy out at not been first choice so I imagine he has burnt his bridges.

Should be 500k though. Just hope hibs can't do s deal

When did he spit his dummy out! He's always remained complimentary to the club. Yes he said he wated first team football, but what footballer doesn't?

If he moves on, best of luck to him. Be nice if we could get a younger, less injury prone version of him with any monies we receive (although us reinvesting is very very unlikely)

McPake played 90 mins tonight for NI! They lost 6-0! And the team were captained by Clingan. Suppose their night was always gonna end in disaster with the latter alone occurring!

He had a serious back injury, loads of other injuries. AT showed faith in him and got him a year's extension.

He comes back from injury. Keogh and cranie were doing very well. As oppose to sitting on the bench waiting for his chance to get in then stay in. He demanded a loan
AT said he did not want him to go but did not want a player here who was asking to go.

With our threadbare squad we needed him. We were very lucky neither cranie or Keogh got injured or suspended.

If the did get injured, we would have needed to turn to him and he was not there.

IMO he put himself over the teams needs. He did not repay the trust that had been put in him.

It suited him to return to Scotland.

I really rate him as a player but this left a sour taste.

ROD can go for a nominal fee in my book £50k.

I thinnk we should hold out for a decent fee for McPake though - think we should hold out for £250K transfer for him, Keogh should not be sold for any less than 1 million. If I knew we would keep Keogh. Crainie & Wood if we lost these two would let McPake leave for less but cannot see that happening.
