Winger set to leave Coventry City

Coventry City manager Aidy Boothroyd has admitted the the thinking behind recalling winger Michael McIndoe from his loan at Milton Keynes Dons was not so he could be used as cover, but simply to ease the process of offloading the player in the January transfer window.
The 31 year old joined Coventry City in August 2009 from Bristol City for an undisclosed fee. Bristol had previously accepted a £500,000 offer from Sheffield United for McIndoe, but that deal collapsed because of concerns over the winger's fitness.
During his time at The Ricoh McIndoe has played 41 times, but scored just the one goal against Plymouth Argyle in March 2010. He never managed to find the form that he enjoyed while at Bristol City where he bagged 12 goals in 90 appearances.
He has not found favour since Boothroyd became the Sky Blues boss and has struggled to win a place in the current Coventry side. He never won over the City support either.
Boothroyd confirmed, “The thinking behind it is that it’s January, he could go at any minute and I just wanted to recall him because we have had one or two interested parties and we have got to find a way forward to get him out somewhere permanently."

Just didn't cut it, maybe if we got him a bit early in his career it would of been better. I feel average players in most cases, specially players who rely on speed and acceleration peek at 26, its only players of carsleys calibre that make it so long at such a high level.

I think it must be about wages. If he isn't ever going to get a game then there is no point keeping him.

I did think when I heard McIndoe was being recalled. Where does he fit in now?
