If we lost him to injury our season would be fucked IMHO.

Better than most city fans like to admit, extremely good defender

Anybody that disliked him changed their mind?

Pask can come in and play but would be a huge loss.

As would Kelly
As would Godden

He was superb today. Dabo got MOTM but for me it was Fadz.

McFadz has been a rock for most of the season, with the exception of perhaps 3 or 4 games when his form was iffy.

I thought the back 3 today were incredibly composed. As they have been for large chunks of the season.

Agree and the scapegoat for city fans. Another solid performance by the man

I’m concerned someone will come in for a Dabo in the summer. He’s been fantastic all season. By far my player of the season so far

Walsh was outstanding today, but Fadz has been a revelation. Just the sort of no nonsense CB we’ve been missing since we had Turner on loan.

Shame he and the other two centre halves cannot win a header from corners or throw ins.

Easily above our level and I’ve no idea how we actually got him to come here.

Not sure anyone isn't admitting how good he is.
Was definitely a bit suspect earlier in the season but is now turning out to be the player we all hoped he would.
I thi k this year's player of the year will be the most hotly contested, most debated ever. We've really got some stand out performers.

He played well today but I still have kittens when he's playing it out from the back.

It's the first time for a while I havent been worried about their flurry of late corners. (Although LJ being subbed probably helped that!)

Yep-decent enough now and what you want in a Central defender at this level-no nonsense. Had a wobble earlier on in the season and the Rotherham game was a bad day at the office but has moved on.

Depends on the type of forward he's up against. Having his experience is undoubtedly helping game management but in terms of outright ability Pask could be just as good IMO and may well end up replacing him long term. Also has more pace, seems to be very good at anticipation and interceptions and can bring the ball out.

Hopefully we won't have to find out if we can cope without him.

Oddly enough I got an uber the other week and the driver was a Birmingham fan and we got talking about the stadium situation. He said he gave Dabo a lift to the training ground a couple of days before.

He gave a real leaders performance yesterday, and was MOTM for me. He won everything in the air and really led by example.

He’s been a scapegoat as he’s given away a few needless penalties and silly errors, but he’s a very good centre back and his experience really benefits Rose and Hyam. He’s constantly talking and is also often in the ear of the opposition.

I wouldn’t call him no nonsense though, for better or for worse he likes playing football. He’s happy to receive the ball and pass it around comfortably. No nonsense in L1 just means hoof doesn’t it? That’s definitely not his default.

Thought he had a great game. I’ve not been his biggest fan, I always think there’s a mistake in him but he was excellent.
Like you say, he’s not the no nonsense centre half that he perhaps looks like. Quite the opposite, always looks for a pass in the first instance. We were compared to Liverpool prior to kick off so I guess he’s our Van Dijk!

As an aside, the one complaint I have about our trio of centre halves is that I can’t tell the difference between any of them unless they’re up close. This is making me look rather stupid when I shout “Forward Rose”! When in actual fact it was Hyam. Get it sorted Robins!

McFadzean has been an excellent signing, he compliments both Rose and Hyam.
He is the central defender that we have been missing in recent years.

He plays almost a sweeper role for us, it's a hard position to play.
