Thought it might take him a game or two to get back up to speed but was immense today

I also think with fadz there , you will see the best from Doyle, panzo or mcnally , whoever played with him basically

He looked leaner and meaner today than before his injury. He does bring confidence to our defending.

Valuable experience in the back 3. A few times yesterday he committed the professional foul because he knew if the player got away, he’s losing the foot race. It’s actually nice to see in a weird way.

In my opinion we have missed McFadzean more than O'Hare.

I'd have to say its a possibility , both ends of the pitch have suffered without both

the defence has been weakened as well by the RWB position and now the LWB as well - he’s really going to have to think about that next season

O hare work rate pressing opposition back and into our holding midfielders is hugely understimated as a loss as well

Totally agree with your assessment about Ohare and how he makes people look over their shoulders and rush in midfield with his pressing. What do you mean about the RWB and LWB?

Still early for both. JWE has never really played men’s football and is coming back from an injury so he’s going to need time.

Watching it back held the line great for their first goal too....eccles played their man on side from cross in or it would have been offside too.

It is mad how after each spell out he seamlessly fits back in and plays 90 mins. Great to see him back.

Robins pointed to this in his post match interview. He said it was nice to hear a loud voice at the back, for a change (I’m paraphrasing).

McFadz will be fine for next season too, down to Robins to get top notch pacey defenders either side of him not loanee kids, although individually I like both Panzo & Doyle not sure if either are the answer, yet to decide re. McNally but you can’t beat having experienced defenders.

I mean the RWB has been an issue all season. Dabo clearly is unfit, he would not play Kane and we've had a string of poor makeshift alternatives all season. The signing of Norton Coffey being the latest example. Bidwell stabilised the left and now we have the absurd decision to play someone there clearly miles out of his depth as well

Fair enough appraisal. I hope time will prove you wrong on the LWB.

I really thought, a couple of seasons ago, that we would get rid…and and that we would’ve been right to do so.
I’m glad to say he’s joined the long list of people who have proven I know nothing about football.

How the hell did we get him when we were in League 1?!

I know we'd get hammered, but being a sentimental fool I'd love to see McFadzean and Kelly play a role in a top flight season for us.

I think Doyle was the most important signing of recent history, but Fadz is probably the best signing arguably.

Literally worth three or four players with the impact he has on those around him. That defence since he came back is ridiculous.
