McLeish did not want King?

The statement put out for his reason for quitting blues was that he was not fully consulted over transfer matters. His resignation coming just two days after the signing of King. Thinking back does anyone remember a statement from McLeish welcoming the signing as I do not?

One of the board members has slated McLeish as 'we just bought three players he asked for' so I don't think it's that.

Think he was probably more upset about the players that have left (14) and the liklihood that Johnson , Dann and Jerome maybe Foster are apprently moving on too . Especially when the Board gave him an ultimatum of promotion this season or else. Losing your best players makes that a very hard task.

What are you calling Mcleish a twat for Steve? I think the topic here is why the manager of another club has left his position.

It looks like why the manager of another club didn't want one of our ex players. I just think we should move on really. I'm looking forward to the fixtures and whom we are going to sign personally. But still reading posts involving MK, it's just a bit boring.IMO. And I did say no offence.

Or maybe people are just discussing why Mcleish left his job, as below.

I think McLeish finally threw in the towel because of the selling off Carson, Dann, Jerome, Johnson and Gardner and only allowed to get in free transfers to replace them with. Burke and King are good signings but without Dann and Johnson and with Carr retiring the bedrock of McLeish's team has gone. I am sure the prospect of crossing the City and rubbing the Blues boards noses in it is a great one but he will have to get off to a blinding start to win over the fickle, above their station Vile fans.

Couple weeks back there was a piece done by Radio 5 live that covered Birmingham and Kevin Phillips.

The panel did not have a high opinion of the current owners at Birmingham. I believe one of the panel reckoned that the owners and Mr Pannu were "chancers" with no great love of football or BCFC, the others seemed to agree. They were at the time speculating on whether McLeish would stay and how he would cope with the ultimatum he was given, in light of all the actual & possible players departures. So the current shenanigans isnt really a surprise

Phillips was interviewed and came across well. He was not ready to retire, said he felt really fit and could do someone a good job in the Championship. The panel also gave him a good write up with their comments

No offence meant. But why are we still going in about that twat!?
It was just a harmless thread in relation to what I heard about McLeish's reason for leaving Blues, they said he was not being consulted on transfer activity so chill your beans........... :pimp:
