i know a few manure, arsenal and liverpool fans going tonight trying to get the glory as per...coventry are just their local team apparently. Which is fooking sad. i may not be at all the matches this season but have always supported cov.

Don't know how they worked that one out!

Coventry are more than a local team!

Carmarthen Football Club are what you class as a local team!

Coventry is the 9th biggest city in the UK. We're a fething institution!!!

I don't blame you.

Nothing worse than someone glory supporting someone like Man U and then turning up at a match of the team they should be supporting just to get in on the glory.

Of course, if your a Cov fan and from Manchester then I welcome you with open arms

Sphinx are my local team. Coventry City FC are MY TEAM. I know a couple of prem club fans going tonight denying a few other actual city fans the opportunity. Shame really but it'll sell be awesome to see the ground packed and loud!! PUSB

I have always said that It doesn't matter where I end up settling down (with my career you never bloody know!) my children will grow up as Cov fans!

I could be living in Scotland and they'd still be waring the Sky Blue proudly!

Just bumped into a man u fan (local lad) asked him if he was going tonight. Bearing in mind he has been up a few times this season at least.....

Said he wasn't but would be going to wembley if we got there......

I told him there's no way he's going to wembley if he didn't go tonight by making up some bullshit and his face dropped. Told him to feck off and man up over what team he supported. (In a sarky way...not a wheatsheef way) :-D

think its sad lol. I Understand not going up much to the ricoh but atleast still say they support the team when asked (as their main club). But riding a teams wave you 'dont' support..oh dear.

On the upside I know there are Cov fans out there that weren't born in Coventry but support us.

We gladly accept them when they come from other cities and towns but when it's someone born in Coventry supporting another team we frown upon it!

Tis the way it should be

It riding a wave? Or more like watching an entertaing game of football?

The 'local' prem club supporters should perhaps hold their heads in shame. It is their weakness that makes them support the 'big' clubs.

I don't know anybody from Cov who supports a big team. It might be prevalent amongst kids but it isn't amongst adults.
