Once the administrators are called in they look for assets to sell to recover some cash and they also look for suitable buyers for the club. So whats to stop ACL from buying the club? Like i said, its probably gonna win stupid question of the week award but sod it ill ask it ask it came to mind earlier!

Think it may be considered a conflict of interest if ACL would take advantage of the administration that they themselves put to the high court in the first place.

I stand to be corrected though.

They could buy the club, in theory, but as CCC own 50% it is not going to happen. Not a good use of taxpayers' money.

Nothing. Sisu were likely to do that to acl.

ACL could put in a credit bid, but their % of the overall debt is minimal compared to what is owed to Arvo.

But doesn't ACL make a profit every year as it is now so tying the local football club to it would put the football club back in ownership of the city and allow them to be in a stronger negotiating place with any prospective new owners

Here's an option ACL buy CCFC and offer the ACL group to a new investor. All nice and tidy.

My point exactly,it would really make it as it should be,all one. Cant see ACL wanting to take their finger out of the pie tho

I think the right buyer would tempt them. Higgs wants out and CCC want an investor to develop the surrounding area.
