But does anyone else think that the City might be leaking a few names out here and there to gauge reaction of the fans?

Wilder last week and Brown this.

Someone from the club no doubt reads the forums so wondering if they are testing the water a little with the Sky Blues fans.

Not saying they would go for who the City fans want, but that they may throw a name like Brown out there to check to see if it's a bloke the fans don't want!

They may have interviewed Brown and then leaked the info to gauge the city fans reaction.

It could be a possibility, are they that clever though?

Funny how we heard about Brown being interviewed though and no-one else. CT got hold of that from somewhere. Wonder if it was from inside the club.

Do think there would be a bit of an outcry if the likes of Brown got the job so it would be well worthwhile the club finding out how anti the fans were to any one candidate.

I can't believe that it's news day and they haven't released the name of the manager yet!!

It wouldn't surprise me if they were doing that.

Brown may of done it himself just to keep his name in circulation, even if he don't get the job it gets him publicity

I've heard Brown has mates at Sky Sports and they announced the story to hype up his chances. I suspect he thought they'd be a lot of support behind him!

very possible, especially considering fisher and waggot alluded to lack of pace in squad, they must be reading the forums and listening to phone ins.

It's a possibility, I admit; but on the other hand, they don't seem to care about the fans (or much else apart from getting their hands on the Ricoh) so why would they bother?

In that case ... just in case they are looking for votes ... Mine's Dennis Wise SISU ... for the record !

Why bother? Only because if they brought the wrong man in the gates would drop further and they would lose even more money.

They have budgeted for 11,000 per home game this season. If they get the right man in the crowds could quite easily be a couple of thousand higher than that.

Unfortunately it´s not a democratic vote, meaning although we can voice our opinions it will be Faggot and Wisher who will make the decision and although I´m sure that they are interested in our reactions they are well aware that it would be impossible for their eventual successful candidate to please all of us. I just hope that they get it right.

Agree. They won't please everyone and every candidate will have their dissenters, but if it is a candidate that the vast majority are totally opposed to then they really need to listen.

I dont think it will be Brown

if bookies were sure, betting would be suspended, instead they are trying to draw the bets, just as they did with wilder

When I saw the story on Sky they were saying that Brown told them he was being interviewed himself.

And by himself probably.

If he asked himself all the questions he could avoid being asked questions about tans.

Question 1: where is the best place to tell off naughty footballers?

Question 2: have you been on holiday?

Question 3: where do you get those sweaters?

Question 4: can you start immediately?

Think so too, as soon as it was on Sky's breaking news bit, he went to 1/3 on skybet. He's the only one they know, or say, for sure has been interviewed.

Thinking about it, bit naughty of sky to put that Brown (or anyone for that matter) is being interviewed for the job then slash his odds on their own betting site. Brown does cover some of the games for them don't he, as does Dowie who you would think would tell him to steer well clear if he knows whats good for him!

Would make a lot of sense for them to do this, that way it would look like they are doing what the fans wanted and so try and appease any hate if they get this wrong, however we are only a small minority on here.
Another thing Thorn was the fans choice and that back fired.

Makes good sense to check forums like this- waggott seems to have the clubs interests in mind, even if SISU don't so why wouldn't they guage our reaction? Buy Gary Johnson if you are reading!

Not talking about who the fans want though, talking about candidates the fans definitely wouldn't want.

Maybe he's playing te same game as Cotterill did last time round? Trying to boost his ego by getting all the limelight?
