and if you look at the run he made to get into the box to get his goal, he hardly bothered making any runs like it after that. He was bone idol.

don't agree on Murphy, sorry, not trying to be a contrarian but I liked Murphy though admittedly he did go off the boil after end of November.

People say Murphy didn't work back, but Wright didn't work forward!

re: Biamou.
Good to see Robins getting a good variety of players in, this geezer a bit more of a gamble. If it pays off we coast this league. If shit hits the fan at least we are building for conference league with Biamou!!

I am hoping this is just a support striker to our main goal scorer who is yet to be signed

He'll be played based on how he performs. He could well end up being our main goal scorer.
But as things stand I think McNulty will be the main striker to begin with. Until we sign Morata at least.

Maybe he has been signed for when we need a goal near the end of the game. Someone to hit the long ball to.

Don't mind a gamble, could have unearthed a gem who will be worth millions in a few seasons

Dodgy comparison but remember when Armstrong came along and he had a history of approximately no goals in senior football....few concerned voices then too iirc.

Then he started playing like Aguero and ripping defences apart!

Can't wait to see how we do in a little over a month.

re: comparison, yes this geezer is not a U18 national player either, so don't get to carried away. But yes, I'm also looking forward to see how season starts. We all want goals from the off. Shit league, but we need to piss it. Mind u, I said L1 was shit league and look how that turned out!

Never heard of him but then I'd never heard of Chris Stokes either before he rocked up and time missed through injury aside he's been one of if not our best player over the last two and a half seasons. Certainly the most consistent. So I'm not worried at all that I've never heard of him. Hopefully we've unearthed another non league gem and he makes the adjustment well setting league two on fire. A gamble worth taking and MR obviously thinks so by giving him a two year contract.

Doswell revealed that City’s head of recruitment, Tommy Widdrington, was responsible for getting the deal done.

“The deal came together very quickly because there were other clubs in front of Coventry, to be honest, and Tommy – who I know very well from his time as Eastbourne Borough manager – made the deal happen very, very quickly with Mark (Robins).

“It all happened over the weekend. He was going for a medical at another club on the Monday and Coventry stepped in and Max chose Coventry over a couple of other clubs in League Two, both clubs with ambitions in the division.”

Coventry City's Max Biamou is quick, strong and capable of scoring 20 plus goals

To be fair Andy Turner is generally a decent read. Just gets dragged down by the state of the rest of the paper and blocked access to the club due to other people at the CT stirring things up.
