He's added a few players who can get goals which is far better than relying on one player. PUSB.

indeed. way too much emphasis on if a player has scored 20 in a season before

Thought McGoldrick had taught us all a lesson too. Can't judge on what a player has done elsewhere necessarily.

Think Paul Telfer had a brief spell playing/coaching for them a few years ago

He can hold the ball up and lay it off, thats a vast improvement from last years squad, good in the air again an improvement from last years squad, quick another improvement, scored double figures can pick a pass obviously at a lower level but better than we had last year with Turdgay and the useless loans lets hope he is incredibly hungry and goes on to be a sky blue legend not a leg end

"This is in itself an indication of how far we've come and how much Coventry have fallen - I couldn't have imagined a player from us going to Coventry even 5 years ago.
Shame we couldn't hang onto him, he scored some spectacular goals and his power in the air will especially be missed. Good lad, good find and good luck."

"Really gutted about this one. One of my favourite players I've ever had the pleasure of watching at Sutton. A true fans favourite. He celebrated every goal with the fans and was always one of the first to thank fans for travelling.
Anyway, Max is strong, works away, has the leap of a salmon and a real rasper of a shot. What is stopping him from being a Championship footballer in my eyes, is his gas tank and his positional awareness. If he can sort those, he won't be in League Two for long."

Hi, long time viewer first time poster here. Thought I would post the attributes which he has on football manager, which is normally a very good indication of the type of player he is. Funnily enough his stats are on par if not better than that Gozie Ugwu who Chesterfield have signed.

Nothing like a non-league signing to bring out the cliches from people who really have no idea what kind of player he's like.

But anyway, I'm sure he'll be a no-nonsense hidden gem, hungry with a great work rate. And did you know Stuart Pearce also came from a non-league club?

Would you say that Lee Sawyer played for us? I mean, he was in the starting XI at Derby away under Coleman and ran around a bit on the field wearing our kit during the match, but "played for us" might be pushing it.....

As did Jamie Vardy, they are out there, clubs have to take a gamble to find them

The Sutton fans seem to like him but it's still a jump in standard & expectation which comes with CCFC being a League 2 club. Would rather we signed someone like Maxime than someone who's been on his way down for years like Best.

This lad could turn out to be decent.

Got a lot of not first choice strikers and a lot of not first choice goalkeepers on the books by the looks of it though.

Would expect some players to go in the next few weeks I think...

To the tune of I am the music man...

He is a Frenchman,
He comes from far away,
And he can play (what is his name?)
His name is Bi-a-mou
Bi-a
Bi-a
Bi-a-mou
Bi-a-mou
Bi-a-mou

Rinse and repeat

I know absolutely nothing about this guy, but having watched his highlights video, I reckon he'd of destroyed our back 4 of last season!
So welcome to the club mate, and good luck for the new season.

I don't no too much about the lad but he looks like he's worth a punt.
He's very different to what we've got here currently and looks to be a target man type who can lead the line and use his pace/power too, these type of striker seemed to fair well in league two while some ain't prolific they create for attacking midfielders so are worth there place.

If he can contribute with 10 goals then we've found a "player" but if not let's hope he creates.
Pleasing signing tho I still want Collins too.

Rapid for a big fella, I still don't feel he's the answer to firing us to promotion as I believe Robins will get another striker in.

I do wish Biamou well though and hope he proves me wrong.

mcnulty sounded like he would be first choice to me.

the fact we have options in beavon(work rate) k thomas (pace) and now bilmau(aggression) is a great thing. different combinations for different games.

ass in g thomas as inside forward and even without collins we have a strikeforce that can succeed in league 2 imo

I think he will still try and get Collins or another target man type. I think he will look at the left hand side of the three also next.
Agree he looks like he can shift and seems a beast when bearing down on goal.

Another from Tommy Widdringtons little black book of notes it seems.
Another undisclosed fee too.

I hope and think the lad will do well as long as the fans give him some love and make him feel special and we could add that extra 10% to his game to make the jump up to league two.
Confidence is a massive part of a strikers game, let's help him and hopefully we've got a gem and our own John Akinde type.

Coventry City Manager Mark Robins said: “We are delighted to sign Marc, after beating a number of clubs to secure his signature. Marc is a natural goalscorer who is comfortable using either foot and he will be a real threat in front of goal for us. Goalscoring was clearly an area requiring improvement from last season, and I’m delighted to have been given the support to improve this area with a player of Marc’s undoubted quality.

Manager Mark Robins said: “I’m delighted to welcome Maxime to Coventry City, having beaten a number of other clubs at our level to his signature. He provides an important different option to the attacking threats which we currently have. He is a raw talent with pace, power and aggression, and is also good in the air. We look forward to working with him and developing his ability further.”

certainly sounds lik McNulty will be ahead of Maxime

Can play both with the current personnel here in either a 442 as a pair or a 4231 with McNulty in the 10 and Biamou as the target man.

I like the look of this lad, whether non league or not he can control and head a ball well, and he can run at defences so the non league difference between us and Sutton should be easily overcome.
He has my undying support, and having watched Andre wright he will even if he takes time to come through, as it looks like at least he has some talent which cant be said of the afor mentioned Mr Wright

This is where it's uncertain... question marks over Beavon and George Thomas futures, will Beavon decide to move on if he feels his playing time will be limited here? What assurances will he be given?
George I feel will be leaving as the days tick on, really hope not but if he does then the compensation fee will be useful to get James Collins and a replacement seems to be here for George in Peter vincenti

Things will shape up as we go into preseason. Signs are good tho. I predicted players of a strong mentality, leaders needed to come in and players with league experience elsewhere with the addition of young hungry players to get the balance.

Things are going well in my eyes this summer so far
