I think most people just think that he is a reasonable player, a scorer of great goals, who always gives his best and who hasn’t looked out of place in this division. Then there are those who want to deride and belittle one of our own players, even when he played a significant part in a great win against a top side on Saturday. There will be howls of protest no doubt, but I think some on this particular thread are quite pleased when he makes a mistake, plays poorly etc as it justifies their prejudice.
