Thought Pressley was spot on with this assessment. Given the crowd, atmosphere and quality of the opposition our inexperienced lads went about the task calmly and professionally. Heads could have easily dropped after the goal but no sign of that at all. Was massively impressed with the two in centre mid and Jordan Clarke seems to be a totally different player this season.
All in all very happy with a point and a great day out. Felt like a proper football match !
It was a massive step up for the team. When we were 0-0 i was hoping we would creat one chance and nick it. When Wolves scored first I thought they would win it. i just hoped we wouldnt collapse.
But they stuck to the plan kept passing trying to keep possession no resorting to route 1. They got the equaliser they deserved. They had the support SISU have been depriving them off.
A long time since I have come away from a ground looking forward to the coming fixtures.
totally agree, football on a Saturday afternoon, great game, right result, no problems (that I saw anyway) don't think anyone watching that game ,who didn't know, would ever have thought that was a 3rd division match.
Thought Connor Thomas had an excellent game yesterday and pipped Fleck to MoM. J Clarke was very good also plus Willis dealt with Sako really well. V positive signs going forward
was in a pub in W'hampton yesterday, aft match & watching sky tv,
earwigged some wolves supporters who were fairly unanimous in their grudging praise for CCFC & the youth talent on view, so much so that 1 of them said,
'if we've got the dosh, we could make some easy pickings @ xmas from that lot',
sounded a bit different tho' with their bizarre accents,
