Any more updates on Matty James?
I’m guessing the players are off this week so he doesn’t need to sign until next week anyway.

After a disappointing start to the season they should be training.

Don't need a week off after four games

But us, the fans, know what is glaringly obvious is the lack of a proper midfield is costing us. Matt James would provide us with something we are sadly lacking, a midfield general, an older experienced head which we desperately need with all the young players we have got. Sounds like he wants to come here, so please Mr. King give him a contract NOW. Even if it only works in the short term, it's worth a punt.

I disagree. We have a MUCH greater chance of signing Matty James.

Sid James was killed in France during WWI:

If we don't get midfielder Sid James in we could go for Bernard Bresslaw....only problem is Bernards a striker so we will definitely sign him

I think Robbings said that players would be in at some point this week with just those going on international duty not around. Ideal time to get the Matty James thing over the line.

I don't get it.

Someone spotted James was available. Mentioned it on here. Most people were saying go for it, but Doug King isn't carrying out our instructions.

Who the hell is running this football club, the fans, or him?

He Needs as much Training as he can get, not had any Game Time

If we are going to Sign him, it Would've been done By Now.

With all the doom and gloom lately, your capital letters have been the best thing on Sky Blues Talk for quite a while now. I would genuinely love to know how you choose where to put them. I reckon it's some sort of sneaky code

There is a good article on the BBC website about how players are being run into the ground (especially elite players) and how those who get sensible rest perform way better. Time off even at this time of the season will improve performance in the long run.

Don't know Matty James personal arrangements but if he is training with Leicester, I would imagine he still lives in the area. Not far for him to come and train with us. Surely, if he wants a contract with us, he should come and do that now.

It does. Pre season can be pretty gruelling too but let’s not lose sight of the fact it’s a part time job and they are hugely pampered athletes.

I’ve no issue with them have a couple of days off this week but I’d like to think it’s not more than that.

Robins is always one for saying the relentless nature of the championship makes it hard to do more than recover and prepare for the next match.

These 2 weeks should be largely utilised.

There are at least 4 players on internationals. Can't do much match prep when half the team isnt there.
