I haven’t read all this thread. BUT, whilst Rudi probably our biggest asset, we haven’t necessarily missed him, however without Grimsey we’d be up the creek. Our most influential player by a country mile. Just like a captain should be- the linchpin.

I went to the CTK supporters evening last night with Grimes and Rushworth. I have to say what a person Matty is, was so humble and passionate about playing for Cov. He seems convinced we will do well this season and I could feel how much he loves being here. Rushworth too, they are a credit to themselves to be honest they had so much time for the fans. We’re lucky to have people like that playing for the club.

Yes he's pretty much the only player in the squad we don't have a like for like replacement.

If anyone else is missing, we have someone to come in and fill that role - albeit in some cases not to the same level.

But with Grimes we have no one else that can do what he does. Thankfully he seems pretty bomb proof (*touch wood*).
