Sheffield United &, I think Fulham, tried before but he didn't want to leave.I wonder why no other club signed him before us? He's been one of the best in the division for years.
Maybe he was too expensive before but now he's a little older his value dropped a bit.
We were interested in him for a while before he signed according to Douglas.
Absolutely superb player.
Do you accept now that MR did a good job?Bidwell is nothing like Kane. Like Allen he has massive experience at this level and shows time and time again he can be relied on if needed.
What a silly comparison
Now where have I heard that beforeI find it amazing that Swansea fans were a bit divided on him. Some did really rate him but others were basically saying he passes sideways etc.
The bloke’s an absolute genius on the ball and always puts in a massive shift grafting when out of possession. Not bad in the air and reads the game so well. Amazing player.
He quite liked Kane at the time i remmeberDo you accept now that MR did a good job?

Kane is a very experienced player at this level - bit of a steal I suspect
Kane is one of the squads most experienced players at Championship level and it shows. Its one of the best signings we have made in terms of cost against experience
come off it Kane is an experienced player at this level
Kane Bidwell waghorn have far more experience
@Skyblueabo1111 take note; this is how you do it.Yeah it'd be silly to say Kane was experienced at this level.
Oh.
And you'd have to be really silly to compare him to Bidwell.

I said people got carried away with him same way. Some acted line kane was such a good playerBidwell is nothing like Kane. Like Allen he has massive experience at this level and shows time and time again he can be relied on if needed.

Brutal@Skyblueabo1111 take note; this is how you do it.
It’s a lovely attempt but Bidwell has shown himself at this level to be a more than adequate player and would easily be signed by other clubs. No one is signing Todd Kane.
You have a strange obsession with players like him and Allen in particular as not being capable. They clearly are and Allen was excellent today

Dont be ridiculousNot heard much praise for JDS from you so far?
You are my heroYeah it'd be silly to say Kane was experienced at this level.

Lamps said Grimes was even better than he thought he was.Grimes is simply a top quality player seemingly at the peak of his powers in a very good side. I can’t recall a player finding the space he does and his range of passing is sublime.
I thought he outstanding for Swansea against us time and time again and he is the best player in the championship in my opinion. Lampard knows a player he sees one!

Mark Robins said Bidwell was a Rolls Royce of a player. He has been good for us, but struggled after his injury. Absolutely fine in the last sub appearances.A real example of a rolls Royce unlike bidwell who some referred to as this I believe
So so good. And a pleasure to watch
Robins instinct has always been to defend first. Our new regime is fuck it lets go for it.Was saying to my dad on the way home that I have a deep fondness for mark robins , a club legend and one of our greatest achievement wise .. but what we are seeing right now is something different .. some credit to the 2 coaches who are clearly premier league level coaches
Part of the reason he doesn’t pick up lots of injuries. Everything is very easy, controlled, sensible and considered. He doesn’t / shouldn’t have to run around a lot.
I was saying to my wife that I really want cov to win league and Stoke to come second for robins
She said "awwww that's sweet"
Yeah happy with thatAnd Boro up via the POs for Adi?
If there is a fk up Saint Grimes runs like "BillyO" sometimes from 50-60 yards to try & recover possession. I have been watching City for decades. He may very well become the best Captain we have ever had ? A footballer & a leader on & off the pitch.
Different players for different situations.I find it amazing that Swansea fans were a bit divided on him. Some did really rate him but others were basically saying he passes sideways etc.

It's not as simple as that. I remember a thread on here questioning the same thing. It wasn't noticed how he pinged the ball a fair distance when space was found. Some just wouldn't have it. The very next game he pinged three 30 yard passesIt’s crazy that a 30 year old championship player was immediately (without any real easing in) so important to the way we play.
Renders the opinion of Swansea fans on players essentially void from here on.
He had offers over the years but was very happy at Swansea. Things change.I wonder why no other club signed him before us? He's been one of the best in the division for years.

To be fair they said Gyokeres wasn't very good tooI find it amazing that Swansea fans were a bit divided on him. Some did really rate him but others were basically saying he passes sideways etc.

Lamps said Grimes was even better than he thought he was.
Have to give Austin credit, he was already on our try to buy list before Lamps came in.
Think his age considering the price determined Swansea letting him go.
Hope he can keep going for some years yet. Look at Bannon who was brilliant today for Wednesday.
