both suited us at different times. Was saying to my dad on the way home that I have a deep fondness for mark robins , a club legend and one of our greatest achievement wise .. but what we are seeing right now is something different .. some credit to the 2 coaches who are clearly premier league level coaches
I know, he must of been one of those players not on the radarMad that you’d never heard of him when I’m sure we’d played Swansea at least 4 times when he was playing

I think thats one of the differences.. it will definitely benefit stoke at this timeboth suited us at different times.
I do agree with what somebody said in that Robins was a more cautious manager and Frank likes to play with the handbrake off
And now we haveI remember watching us play Swansea when we first come up to the Champ thinking phwoar, wish we had a midfielder like that
I was saying to my wife that I really want cov to win league and Stoke to come second for robinsWas saying to my dad on the way home that I have a deep fondness for mark robins , a club legend and one of our greatest achievement wise .. but what we are seeing right now is something different .. some credit to the 2 coaches who are clearly premier league level coaches
I’m sure I read an Everton fan prior to us hiring him, attacking wise the football is great, and we’d score loads. Defensively Lampard is a lot to be desired. We’ve tightened up loads recently so I’ll be interested to see what happens when a team manages to put the pressure on usboth suited us at different times.

He is always available for the ball and so careful with it. The other players must really love having him in the team.
Gary McAllister? The last player who properly oozed rolls Royce quality was Roland Nilsson. He was just sublime.
Maguire-drewGary McAllister?
Sour grapes is allI find it amazing that Swansea fans were a bit divided on him. Some did really rate him but others were basically saying he passes sideways etc.
The bloke’s an absolute genius on the ball and always puts in a massive shift grafting when out of possession. Not bad in the air and reads the game so well. Amazing player.

Lampard has turned Grimes into Pirlo. Torp into Paul Scholes and Rudi into.... well, Frank Lampard. So really frank lampard has given him a role thats turned him into pirlo ?

No team has it all, but at this level most defences are shit when you get at them really. Attacking football has always done well at this level. Robinson was a lot of things but gung ho wasn’t one of them.
Reminiscent of Roland Nielsen in terms of effortless class and quality on the ball.An incredible signing , quality & oozes class .
Hardly ever puts a foot wrong & galvanises our team ……total professional
What will it take for you to just say you love Frank Lampard?
Point scoring!!!i said at the time £3.5m was a great deal for him and certain detractors said it was too much for a man of his age.
Yes. thats the satire, well done!Point scoring!!!
Dunno might change my avatar or something.
Glad you appreciate itYes. thats the satire, well done!
I think he's lifted his fitness and performance a level, more aggressive than he wasHes better than I ever thought hed be , did he play a half back role at Swansea like he does here ? Or was he a flat out holding midfielder
He was probably happy where he was and Swansea wanted more than clubs wanted to pay. His age has brought it down but we will be able to count on him for a good while yet.I wonder why no other club signed him before us? He's been one of the best in the division for years.
Maybe he was too expensive before but now he's a little older his value dropped a bit.
We were interested in him for a while before he signed according to Douglas.
Absolutely superb player.
MR made it possible, hopefully FL makes it happen
Checking permission with Super Moderator @SkyBlueDom26Really well put. You should('ve) be(en) a teacher.
I like him too. Just some got carried away like they did with kane at right back
Grimes reminds me of Carrick in his play
