I liked what I saw from Simms in terms of vision I think he could be an intelligent player that with someone on his wavelength could do well but he left his scoring boots in the same place as Godden. Also taking his scoring record in to account I'd be very surprised if he isn't a decent player for us.

I hope your right, I was genuinely excited when we signed him, I thought he could be a great fit for us.

However I've been very disappointed by his last 2 performances, I can let the Exeter game go as it was a meaningless friendly, but his performance against Leicester coupled with MR comments regarding his work rate have rang alarm bells.

I'm not writing him off as I hope he just needs a bit of time to settle in etc. (As Gyokeres did)
And on paper Simms and Wright look a phenomenal pairing.

Hopefully we will start to see an improvement on Saturday.

Not knowing how we press yet doesn't always mean a lack of work ethic it should be noted

His career here will be down to if he fits the system rather than if he has the skill as he will absolutely have the skill!

I think Simms and Wright will be decent I was more worried about Wright before Sunday but his pace looks pretty good I just hope he suits this league.

Enough said. And he went off after 71 minutes. You’ve spent more time posting about than Simms than he’s actually played.

And it wasn’t even a bad performance. It was average. And went tits up when he went off. But you’ve decided I guess. Despite the hope he proves me wrongs etc.
