Godden is hopeless as a loan striker and we’d then be in an absurd position of having 4 strikers on the bench or totally out the squad

The L1 promotion season says differently. And it's 'lone striker.' Moron.

You’ve just admitted that he’d end up being back up in that formation - Vik is light years ahead of him ability wise and as a lone striker.

Exactly what I've said. Vik starts. Matty rotates. You can't have one lone striker starting/finishing every game - demands of that role are too much.

I prefer Kelly vs. Allen in one of the DCM roles with Palmer and O'Hare advanced.
Let's see what role Kelly plays when he's back to full fitness - you might be surprised.

Some of you love it when one of our players hits a bad run of form. He’s been brilliant for us and still has a lot to offer.

Godden is useless in the loan striker role against most sides in thus division. He can do it against the poorer sides like Pboro away last season

Twice today I’ve read he’s a loan. We may as well have signed him permanently by now.

Wilder commented yesterday on Godden's role in our attack and sees him as more than just a goalscorer.

The fact Robins keeps picking him even when he's not scoring suggests Wilder is right.

He did a job, but im not convinced it was any more of a job than Waghorn or Walker would have done if they'd played from the start.

I'm not saying he was great yesterday.

Just saying that he's more than just a poacher and opposition managers have picked up on that.

Anyone would think managers know more than the fans, how absurd!

Wilder is about to get the boot - he doesn’t even know what he’s doing with his own team.

This isn’t really a deliberate bump but he’s surely a concern now. He really is slow and the way we play he’s rarely in the penalty area - looks like he’s had his day to me

I think Robins suggested he isn't training that much but it shows in his sharpness

There was a bid and it should have been accepted (£750k)

But while he was scoring last season, that would’ve been more horrific business.

Watch Godden out of possession. His runs and threat create space for Vic. We all like our strikers to get 20+ a season, but there is more to his game.

But it would be nice to see him create space for himself and get a goal or 2 more often

Is this a joke? Paintball???

Not good. Whilst I wanted him out of the starting 11 he's still our second best striker.

Time for Waghorn to step up and deliver then. He was quite open in his interview after midweek that he’s not got near the contribution he expects of himself and sounds determined so

Don’t think Walker is the answer but another option. Can’t see Tav getting a lot of game time.

Think an on form Waghorn is a better partner for Vik TBH. But I’d expect Palmer and O’Hare to be first choice with Vik on his own.
